Im sorry no disrespect but from my research and understanding all & every E-Cig product is MFG in China in one of 3 places... All of which offer custom packaging, logo's, & colors... they also offer all flavors of e-liquid in up to Liter size bottles in all the flavors that any retail reseller has to offer in all the dif. strengths... and from my findings in most cases every product in the current retail market no matter what color logo or design all boil down to 10-20 OEM part numbers Example: RN4081 is the NPRO, PeeWee and the majority of the Mini E-cigs being sold on the market... In regards to the atomizer yes it is possible to reman an existing product with a better grade wire coil the basic design for the product function has been around for decades... so bottom line no matter how pretty you color it design it label it these things all come from CHINA!!!

Do we know that for sure??? Have you seen the facility??? and if so how do where does the nicotine solution come from and how did they obtain the permits ect to produce such a thing??? or is it nothing more than a bottling plant repackaging a solution made in CHINA???

Didn't you mention you were planning to be a supplier? You were unaware that everything was made in China previously? I find that hard to believe, or you just decided on a whim to become a supplier? Why are you all of a sudden against the personal vape industry, taking a completely different stance, than you stated a few posts before. Interesting..

EDIT: Also repeating posts and threads really is not necessary. It just tends to muck things up.

That nasty melamine that the chinese like to put in milk and baby food is my only concern about my e-cigs.

Anyone know if any tests have been done regarding traces of melamine?

Sure hope not, these e-cigs have got me down to 5-7 anologs per day from my usual 40-50. Oh, and I have been smoking for 51 years.

Nothing against the industry at all completly support it and everyone involved you misunderstand my stance or didnt completly understand what I had to say... My Stance is from a vendor supplier ideal and the bottom line is all products are MFG in China... It not a negative aspect nor is it a jab at the products themselves just an awareness that everyone should consider based on several posts regarding quality of products and so forth... I have read several posts stating the term cheap Chinese knock offs ect.... but in fact all of em come from CHINA... Now as this is a very new product in the infant stages of development as with anything there are going to be defects and issues and my stance is rather than point a finger at a country or a particular distributor simply accept the fact that with all new products in development there will be defects bad batteries atomizers carts and even liquid at some point recieved by each and every consumer of this product...

the only reason to put melamine in food is because it ups the nitrogen level (melamine is 66% nitrogen by mass), and thus makes it appear to have more protein than it really does. Since e-cigs arent being sold as a food product, there's no reason to make it appear to have protein in it (and thus no reason to put melamine in it)

The bigger risk is lead in the paint on the devices. Lead paint drys faster, thus allowing for faster production. However, as long as youre not habitually ingesting the paint, the risk is very minimal (imho) even if it has lead in it.

E-liquid, In addition to containing Propylene glycol, pure water, glycerol, tobacco flavour, but also add a special
ginseng, vitamin A, vitamin B, vitamin C and vitamin E, etc. and no nicotine. It is the best choice for smokers.
E-liquid Ginseng : refers to species within Panax, a genus of 11 species of slow-growing perennial plants with
fleshy roots, in the family Araliaceae. They grow in the Northern Hemisphere in eastern Asia (mostly northern
China, Korea, and eastern Siberia), typically in cooler climates; Panax vietnamensis, discovered in Vietnam, is the
southernmost ginseng found. This article focuses on the Series Panax ginsengs, which are the adaptogenic herbs,
principally Panax ginseng and P. quinquefolius. Ginseng is characterized by the presence of ginsenosides.
E-liquid Vitamin A :is an essential human nutrient. Vitamin A actually refers to a family of similarly shaped
molecules: the retinoids. Its important part is the retinyl group, which can be found in several forms. In foods of
animal origin, the major form of vitamin A is an ester, primarily retinyl palmitate, which is converted to an alcohol
(retinol) in the small intestine. Vitamin A can also exist as an aldehyde (retinal), or as an acid (retinoic acid).
Precursors to the vitamin (provitamins) are present in foods of plant origin as some of the members of the
carotenoid family of compounds.
All forms of vitamin A have a Beta-ionone ring to which an isoprenoid chain is attached. This structure is essential
for vitamin activity. The orange pigment of carrot - Beta-carotene - can be represented as two connected retinyl
groups. The retinyl group, when attached to a specific protein, is the only primary light absorber in visual
perception, and the compound name is related to the retina of the eye.
Vitamin A plays a role in a variety of functions throughout the body, such as:
Vision
Gene Transcription
Immune Function
Embryonic Development and Reproduction
Bone Metabolism
Haematopoiesis
Skin Health
Reducing Risk of Heart Disease and Cancer
Antioxidant Activity
E-liquid vitamin B: are eight water-soluble vitamins that play important roles in cell metabolism. Historically, the
B vitamins were once thought to be a single vitamin, referred to as vitamin B (much like how people refer to
vitamin C or vitamin D). Later research showed that they are chemically distinct vitamins that often coexist in the
same foods. Supplements containing all eight are generally referred to as a vitamin B complex. Individual B
vitamin supplements are referred to by the specific name of each vitamin (e.g. B1, B2, B3 etc ).
The B vitamins often work together to deliver a number of health benefits to the body. B vitamins have been
shown to:
Support and increase the rate of metabolism
Maintain healthy skin and muscle tone
Enhance immune and nervous system function
Promote cell growth and division — including that of the red blood cells that help prevent anemia.
Reduce the risk of pancreatic cancer, one of the most lethal forms of cancer, when consumed in food, but not
when ingested in vitamin tablet form.
Together, they also help combat the symptoms and causes of stress, depression, and cardiovascular disease.

E-liquid Vitamin C : is an essential nutrient for a large number of higher primate species, a small number of other
mammalian species (notably guinea pigs and bats), a few species of birds, and some fish.
The presence of ascorbate is required for a range of essential metabolic reactions in all animals and plants. It is
made internally by almost all organisms, humans being the most well-known exception. It is widely known as the
vitamin whose deficiency causes scurvy in humans. It is also widely used as a food additive.
The pharmacophore of vitamin C is the ascorbate ion. In living organisms, ascorbate is an antioxidant, since it
protects the body against oxidative stress, and is a cofactor in several vital enzymatic reactions.
The uses and the daily requirement amounts of vitamin C are matters of on-going debate. People consuming
diets rich in ascorbate from natural foods, such as fruits and vegetables, are healthier and have lower mortality
from a number of chronic illnesses. However, a recent meta-analysis of 68 reliable antioxidant supplementation
experiments involving a total of 232,606 individuals concluded that consuming additional ascorbate from
supplements may not be as beneficial as thought.
In humans, vitamin C is a highly effective antioxidant, acting to lessen oxidative stress, a substrate for ascorbate
peroxidase, as well as an enzyme cofactor for the biosynthesis of many important biochemicals. Vitamin C acts as
an electron donor for eight different enzymes:
Three participate in collagen hydroxylation. These reactions add hydroxyl groups to the amino acids proline or
lysine in the collagen molecule (via prolyl hydroxylase and lysyl hydroxylase), thereby allowing the collagen
molecule to assume its triple helix structure and making vitamin C essential to the development and maintenance
of scar tissue, blood vessels, and cartilage.
Two are necessary for synthesis of carnitine. Carnitine is essential for the transport of fatty acids into
mitochondria for ATP generation.
The remaining three have the following functions:
dopamine beta hydroxylase participates in the biosynthesis of norepinephrine from dopamine. another enzyme
adds amide groups to peptide hormones, greatly increasing their stability.
one modulates tyrosine metabolism.
E-liquid Vitamin E: is the collective name for a set of 8 related tocopherols and tocotrienols, which are fat-soluble
vitamins with antioxidant properties. Of these, >-tocopherol (also written as alpha-tocopherol) has been most
studied as it has the highest bioavailability, with the body preferentially absorbing and using this form.
It has been claimed that >-tocopherol is the most important lipid-soluble antioxidant, and that it protects cell
membranes from oxidation by reacting with lipid radicals produced in the lipid peroxidation chain reaction. This
would remove the free radical intermediates and prevent the oxidation reaction from continuing. The oxidised >-
tocopheroxyl radicals produced in this process may be recycled back to the active reduced form through
reduction by other antioxidants, such as ascorbate, retinol or ubiquinol.
The functions of the other forms of vitamin E are less well-studied, although ?-tocopherol (also written as
gamma-tocopherol) is a nucleophile that may react with electrophilic mutagens, and tocotrienols may have a
specialized role in protecting neurons from damage. However, the roles and importance of the various forms of
vitamin E are presently unclear, and it has even been suggested that the most important function of vitamin E is
as a signaling molecule, and that it has no significant role in antioxidant metabolism.

Most studies about Vitamin E have supplemented only alpha-tocopherol, but doing so leads to reduced serum
gamma- and delta-tocopherol concentrations. For more info, read article tocopherol.
1 IU of vitamin E is the biological equivalent of about 0.667 mg d-alpha-tocopherol (2/3 mg exactly), or of 1 mg
of dl-alpha-tocopherol acetate.

This is the most pointless thread on this forum. The members here are not gonna listen to a slam on a product that has changed their lives.

Did hooked on Phonics not work for you maybe I used to many big words... can you not understand English... I in no way shape or form said this was a bad product In fact its an incredible product but should you actually take the time to read instead of jumping to a conclusion you would find this is merely informative and that all products are in fact MFG in china...

MrKrinkle ...

You just joined the forums today bud. You don't even have an ecig. You go from just learning about ecigs, to wanting to supply ecigs, to now thinking you know everything about ecigs ... All, in a single day ... (2/13/09 ... as seen on your join date)

I have nothing against you, and I would say 99.9% of this forum understands and knows were ecigs are manufactured. If you have ever taken apart an atomizer and know the intricacies of them, know way could something like that be built (affordably sp?) outside of China. China has the man power to supply these things globally, no other country does.

JohnsonCreek and FreeSmoke I believe are the only 2 companies that don't source their liquid from China. This isn't to say every single sourced material is derived here in America, but at least they are giving countries (outside of China) a fighting chance in the ECig world.

Do some more research bud. No need to start a thread hounding on the fact ecigs are made in China, when its already a reality, that strikes people as soon as they start esmoking. We are a close nit community, therefore, something like this can and likely will anger many people.

And the sad truth of the matter is (atleast in reference to your post), China and Japan build LOTS of outstanding things. Some better than others .... Some that go through more QA than others. Honda vs. GM ... need I say more?

I am proud of the fact that electronic cigarettes are built in China at this time. It keep ECigarette prices respectable, and although, the DOA/Issue rate may be higher, atleast we can put them in to people's hands without having to charge several hundred per unit! The key to esmoking is accessibility/price. Keep them low enough for everyone to afford, and the impact will be phenomenal!

Good Sir, again I am not knocking the product or its origins in any way... my reason for bringing this to light was in response to the overwhelming amount of posts refering to the purchace of what were called (cheap chinese knock offs) I believe knowledge is power and the informed are better suited to understand a situation... I agree with everything you have said above and support you and your 100% this is truly an amazing product and yes I do wish to distribute the item as well... If I didnt I wouldnt have ordered several units to try nor would I have asked so many questions... but also please note my research into this matter has gone on long before I joined this forum and as earlier stated I believe information in all aspects of any industry is what seperates the fly by nights and the long run business developers...

Quote: There are actually 3 main electronic cigarette factories in China. The biggest factory of all is called "First Union", the makers of RN-series, "Sailebao", the makers of DSE-series, "KangerTech", the makers of K-series.

In addition, there is another manufacture that makes M-series (M-401 from LiteCIG is one of them), and finally one more the infamous "Health" brand from DealExtreme.

Anyways, going back to the point. DSE-901 was first made by Sailebao. You can identify if your DSE-901 is original, by looking at the bottom of the battery. It should have "SLB" marked on it. The original DSE-901 is a fairly good, however recently the quality of DSE series have dropped significantly, and thus if you have the later version of the DSE-901, you should find that it doesn't perform as good as it used to be.

On the other hand, there is model a called RN4075 made by First Union. This model is a copy of the DSE-901, however there has been significant improvements, mainly the working current of the atomizer has been overclocked by 15%, to produce more heat = more vapor. But it has a reduced atomizer life due to the increased temperature. You can identify if your DSE-901 is a RN4075 by looking at the bottom of the battery. It should be labelled as "SH xxxxx".

At this time, the RN4075 is definately a better performer then the DSE-901. I hope my contribution of knowledge clears up the varying performance confusions with the DSE-901.

MrKrinkle,

You took that from an entirely separate post. As I tell everyone, please don't believe every single post you read (as I can see now where you got all your info)

cheap chinese knock offs

Can't say I have ever seen those exact words, but I am also not doubting it. Normally this is said/referred when someone is explaining a Branded product vs. a non branded product. China can pump out some amazing stuff, and some companies do pay a premium to make sure what they get is top quality and programmed to their specs. China can also pump out "knock offs" and cheaper/variant versions of the originals. That is why some are referred to as cheap chinese knock offs.

Again, nothing against you bud ... Just check your sources and look to see what they are actually in reference too :)

I love your input, appreciate your feed back, I am only coming from a place of sharing that which I have come to learn... It is not a negative thing nor a bad thing in any way... I am excited about this product and love what it has done to remove people from a nasty addiction to analogs... This is all in order to learn and the more we learn the better we can all be...

You can't teach until you learn....and you can't learn until you research. Taking isolated statements and making them definitives is not researching.

Definitives are a pet peeve of mine. Somebody makes a statement like it is a fact and just confuses the hell out of those who are just coming on board and looking to learn.

Had the quote you cited been prefaced by "IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING" then it would have had an entirely different meaning. That means this is the conclusion that poster has made based on what he has read....which we have no idea what source that could have been from anyway. Could have just come from another unreliable source....how do we know?

Now if that is backed up by several other reliable sources, then we can put more stock into it....but this whole ecig thing is just so new to us that it seems a lot more research is needed before drawing any conclusions and making them facts.

So do your homework (and a lot of it!), cite sources that are backed up with research....and you will appear much more credible than you do now. And posting the same thing over and over doesn't make an unreliable case any stronger.

It does not bother me that they are from China. I guess if you are bothered by it that is your deal, not ours.
It's like politics, you have an opinion on a topic and you try and get other people fired up about it, only one thing is going to happen. You are going to get a stronger reaction from the people you offend, and the people who agree with you will stay quiet so they dont get into a confrontation.

Good ol' China ... we owe them thanks for our miracle devices.

You're a funny one MrKrinkle, you said there were only three manufacturers and then went on to list five and you missed at least Joyetech ;)

Freesmoke, Johnson Creek and Cybercig are eliquid makers not based in China.
The Screwdriver is custom built in the UK.
Partysmoker in Holland source some power pack from somewhere outside China.
Smoore use batteries from outside China as far as I know.
