I'm tired of seeing "it's made in China" used like that one line is an argument against a product. That is not an argument -- it is a single statement -- that's all.
Now, what people tend to want to say when they use that line is, "it's made in China, so of course there is no quality control, build quality will be horrible and it will likely poison and/or kill babies!!!"
You would think that western economies never produced poor build quality goods or had to recall products because they've injured or killed people -- they have, numerous times.
I'm not sure if it's ignorance or something more directed, but it really needs to stop. It's almost never presented in a balance way (balanced would be: "to be fair, the west has had it's fair share of products that were deadly or poorly built, too.") and is designed to just instill fear and/or uncertainty.
If you have a reasoned argument that you can present that follows to a conclusion of "therefore, one should never
buy products manufactured in China" or "therefore, one should never
buy electronic cigarettes manufactured in China", then present the argument.
If you don't, then stop with the "it's made in China!!" crap -- it's not an argument -- it's closer to shouting "she's a witch, burn her!!"
