Got a couple of smok tanks as a gift. Bought a 5 pack of dual coil cartos and no matter what after a couple of draws I have a hand full of juice. the first store replaced a carto and filled my set up and tested it. Before I got home . ..
the second place (I was getting a flavor I like) built and filled the other tank...same thing after a while (2 visits each) they both kind of hinted that I shouldn't try to suck the juice out of the tank...take it easy.. a strong draw will help them leak ...is this true is it ...my fault?

Nope, I looked for that, they are flanged (the carto's) and I had a pretty fat drip tip at the other end, all pretty tight. And...yes it seems to be flooding from the bottom carto hole (under the tank) and pouring over the rim of my battery onto my hand. And I get gurgling sounds (which usually tells me my device is flooded, I normally use clearos). I only fill the tanks about 5/8 if that matters. I am using ego batteries so I am gonna wait until my vv/vw stuff comes in the mail. (1 ego vv 3-6volt 1100mah, 1 itaste vv/vw and 1 itaste MVP v2 vv/vw). Hopefully by Mon.
The friend that gifted me says they will work much better above 4.5v. (The carto's are 2 ohm).He also laughed at my story and said to check the "o"rings. I guess I'll see...

Checking the orings would be a good idea. Either the orings are damaged or you are taking too strong of a draw flooding your carto. If I were a betting man I would say it is an oring though.

Just for clarification, make sure you check the inner as well as the outer oring. Many people (not saying you're one of them) don't realize that there is an inner oring. If either oring goes out you will loose all pressure in the tank and the juice will flow out like water out of a spicket.

Thanks all..."likes" all around. After some cleaning, changing and vaping, I have found that the unanimous opinion of the forum and my home group was correct...technique needed to change. I did find a bad o-ring on the first tank I described but a change in my vape habits did stop all the gurgling and leaking from the carto's. I am gonna wait for the vv/vw devices to see, but...as of right now, I don't see myself buying any of these" tanks" over my bottom feed clearo's, they work for me, several of them, the t3s, evod, pro 1&2, ismoka bcc's etc. the cheap coils help too. Again thanks and I'll update when my itaste's come in. If you guys know of any more learning posts for tanks...I like to read , thanks again

Glad we were able to help. Here's a couple of articles I've written to help novices with their cartotanks:

Very, very helpful, things that experience teaches but without so much mess. Tanks are definitely messier for first timers and your articles will (have) saved me a drip or two. I really liked the opinions on holes and coil preferences because, for a vaper like me, the two hole carto makes it that much easier to flood/leak.
Again, thumbs up.

Just another thing to throw into the mix- If you have one of the thin metal clad tanks, it's really hard to see if there is a crack. You practically need a strong flashlight and a magnifying glass. It does happen, and the symptoms are very like what the OP described in the first post. That goes for glass or plastic, carto tanks or BCCs. The thin metal clad ones are pretty popular, and I like them but it can be maddening when one cracks and you can't see it.
