Think I Need to find a mtl tank for hubs

My husband does NOT vape. Why? Because no matter what set-up I use he coughs. Even with an ego and ce4 and low nic. If he's going to quit smoking he might as well vape with me but he coughs with everything and then smokes cigs. Any ideas of something relatively inexpensive that can help him vape or is it just him and the way he inhales a vape?

I have a friend who's the same way. I think part of it is that they need to get used to it. It takes some time...so it could be that. Maybe try a pod system that's low wattage and very cool, and zero nic to start- just to see if it's the nic. Maybe take him to a vape shop to sample, since they use zero nic for those.

It's also possible he's allergic to PG. So if nothing else works, I'd see if a high VG does the trick. Best of luck!

Pretty much all new vapers cough at first regardless of what tank they are using. Vapor is nothing like cig smoke. You will have to teach him how to vape so his lungs can adjust. Usually takes a day or two to acclimate.

Thanks y'all. I vape a high vg but maybe I'll get him a pod and no nic. Have to do something before the cigs do more damage. He has heart issues and blocked arteries. I'm desperate for him to quit. At least now I have a few things to try.

When I tried my first cigarette long time a go I cough same thing when I tried my first e-cig./vape. That is because I don't know how to inhale and exhale the vapor and how long should I drag that last maybe 3-5 days of coughing and a little bit harsh on my throat and chest ( heavy chest) . Then I research and watch a bunch of videos on youtube. And I'm glad I did. I also cut down my nicotine level little by little.

How does he puff? Short and fast like a cigarette or long and slow? My roommate would not do the long and slow like is needed with the usual eGo style starters. Sub-Ω was the closest I've got for him, it was the only thing that would give instant vapor for as short as he would puff.

If he takes longer vaping puffs have you tried TC?

Don't be tied into the usual recommendations that are stuck on how things were 6-10 years ago when someone else quit. We don't need to torture new switchers with old crap. We do need to figure out better ways with modern equipment.
I tried the eGo-C's I quit with and coughed. I'm amazed I quit with them.

I couldn't DTL until TC.
I just tried MTL with TC turned up to 218w 360°F and got vapor. I'm not sure if it was a cigarette style draw, my memories of that are long gone.

I would not have quit had I not stumbled across dl vaping. The STM was what saved vaping for me.
