So I've been toying with the idea of mixing my own juice for a bit now and I'm just doin some research on things I'd need to buy and I'm hung up on nicotine. Theres so many different mixes and stuff that I'm not sure what to buy.

So I figured Id throw out what my target result is: I drip and I'm looking to make juice that is at least 90% VG and is at 3mg nic. I understand that PG based flavors can change my ratio but right now I'm only concerned with what nicotine should I get to achieve this?

I treat my 100% (diluted) nicotine as safely as drain cleaner. Thats the safety issue. Other than that it's easy to use in calculators, and a little goes a long way. When I first started I asked the experts in the forum and they answered "go with the 100 proof"(diluted). I would suggest getting it in VG base because you are trying for a very high VG content. I have found the "math" I use with a 100% (diluted) nicotine is easy in my head, but I strongly suggest a juice calculator like one of these:

Hey Bob,
Congrats on making the transition to DIY. As Sir2 posted a lot of the community resources above, I will make my post brief. To achieve those kinds of results, you will likely need to use VG based nic liquid, and potentially even VG based flavorings. There are stickied posts in DIY about who makes those kinds of flavors. When in doubt, just take pencil to paper and do the math! If you have any questions, feel free to PM me. Good luck
