I have a black copper stingray and I love it. The voltage drop on it is amazingly low, actually had to up my coil resistance v.s. my old mod (a cheap maraxus clone) to get the same vape :p If you get a black copper stingray, get an Infinite. The engraving is better than hcigar from what my research produced, and performance wise it's definitely nice.

But, before you get a mech mod make sure you do research on how to use one safely. Drop an atty the wrong way (even a non-rebuildable) and it could develop a short... Not a huge deal if you're using a regulated mod since it won't fire, but the mech will try to fire anyway :p

Hcigar Nemesis. The Stingrays have some issues. I thought about the stingray but like the simplicity of the Nemesis. The Hcigar Nemesis is the best of the clones and some say better than the authentic. I have 2 hades, a magneto, k101 and a POJ #19. The SS nemesis is not as good as my copper hades but I needed a SS model for it's durability. They have copper and brass versions with lower voltage drop. Also now that your going into mechs. Learn Ohms laws, battery safety and remember to use the locking ring. I made a promise is why the soap box. OH get an ohm meter at the very least if you do rebuildables and if you can a volt ohm meter. Be safe.

I like the stingray--but drop some extra cash on a good clone (they are dropping in price). I prefer the stingray because it has a magnetic switch and the floating center pin in the top cap is super convenient. It's a solid design.

On the other hand, my switch is wobbly because I bought a cheapie. Read reviews carefully before you pull the trigger on any specific clone.

I've been doing some research on this, because I'm facing the same exact choice. First, I would choose a nemesis over the stingray. Its parts and accessories are more widely available. Second I would go for the fasttech brass nemesis clone. Most people who tried both the HCigar and the Fasttech clones came out in favor of the latter. There is a youtube on this particular comparison. While the engravings on the HCigar are more pronounced the firing button's edge is sharper on the fingers, especially if you're using your pinky. The insides of the tubes are better finished in the case of the fastech clone..both clones have an issue with their firing buttons. They are not smooth and sometimes do get stuck..so in either case you'll most likely use magnets. Performance wise when it comes to voltage drop they are identical and both have silver plated contacts

There are so many mech mods out there, make sure look into as many as you can, I feel like there are many more simple options than either of those. I prefer mechanical with a solid 650 tube over ones like the nemmy/Stingray. Less pieces/seams equal less voltage drop and personally, my nemmy has threading issues after taking a drop from 3 feet, my vanilla clone has much sturdier threads imo. There's no perfect mod really, just some simpler options I think.
