Thinking about giving up on E-cigs...

Hi,

I got my first E-Cig on Monday night. It was a smokingeverywhere.com Gold 3.0 e-cig. I got the 18mg high nicotine cartridges. I let the battery charge for 12 hours like the box said. I then vaped my first cartridge which was fantastic, good amount of vapor. But it only lasted me about 3 hours of my working day. So I pulled the cartridge out and put a new one. Had about 2 good drags and than nothing. So, I figured I'd wait. So, I waited about another hour went out for another smoke break, and got nothing still. I put a new cartridge in. Got about 2 drags with good vapor than nothing again. This seems to be happening with every cartridge, except now it seems like I just randomly get good vapor. So, I said screw it and ordered a Totally Wicked Titan 510 e-cig with 30ml of their Totally Wicked e-liquid 36mg tobacco flavored.

My question is, before I just cancel the order and give up on these things, are these cheaper than analog cigarettes? Are all e-cigs like this smokingeverywhere one that work properly about 10% of the time? I don't mind the extra costs of Totally Wicked so much, I just want an e-cig that works :(

I can't really say anything about the smokinganywhere device, I never bought one. I can tell you this though, everything is relative to the individual. Sure, you can spend just as much on e-cigs as you do analogs, but that would involve you indulging in it as a hobby.

There are ways to get your nicotine fix and save money. Buy a good device, the 510's are well documented on this site as being economical and the parts are easy to get, and from what I can tell affordable. e-liquid can be cheaper or expensive. I have opted to begin purchasing higher concentrated nicotine e-liquid, and cutting it myself, and adding additional flavor if necessary. All e-liquid is (usually) the same price, no matter what strength. If you only need 12mg e-liquid, buy some 24mg, cut it with PG or VG and if you require stronger flavor after the cut, buy some lorann flavoring and add it to the mix.

I would suggest to do additional research, spend some time reading the forums, find out what works for people, and try it out.

Remember - you are going to spend more on this up front, but look at it this way, you're saving your lungs from the analog smoke, and I don't know a lot of people who can put a price on that.

The start up cost of vapeing is a bit pricey, long term costs however are lower than smoking analogs.

There are some people who like the SE e-cigs you get from the mall kiosks and other folks have bad experiences with them. I own a 510 which is the same thing as the one you ordered from TW. I have been using it for about a month now with no problems. I would reccomend the PCC, however, since the battery life is a bit low on that model compared to others.

I have never owned a smokeingeverywhere e-cig so I cant really speak for that model. If you have any juice I would suggest dripping some into the cart instead of changing it every couple drags.

I hope you can overcome this learning curve and continue to vape!!

Considering he just got his SE he probably doesnt have anything to drip with. I know I didnt have anything to drip with for about the first 4 or 5 days till my JC got here.

The SE gold is the same mistake I made. While it does get a little bit better when youve got some decent juice to top off/drip with its still preety much a piece of crap.

I have been waiting on my 510 since sunday as well from all the reviews ive read and seen it looks like it will be a vast improvement.

Amazon sells Johnshon Creek juice and they shipped same day when I ordered it from there you might want to get some just to hold you over till your 510 gets here atleast. Its the only reason im still bothering with this crappy 4081.

Don't give up yet. Try the 510 - thats what I'm using now and I think it is great. I started with a super e cig. That was not the best model for me, but I'm all about electronic gadgets, so I ordered my 510 from TW. Best move I've ever made. I'm totally off analogs now (after 30 years). It takes a little time to get totally comfortable with vaping, but well worth the effort and expense.

I believe vaping could be cheaper than smoking - I'm not seeing it yet, because as I said, I like new electronic gadget hardware and software.

Learn to refill your carts and you will save a bundle.

Good luck - hang in there.

Definetly don't give up using the electronic cigarette. The atomizer could be clogged or the pack of cartridges you got may have faulty atomizers in it. Did the cartridge get hot when you took your drags? That has happened to me as well. I bought another pack of refills and they lasted much longer. Could of been a bad pack of refills.

The Smoke Everywhere is one of the WORST PV's (personal vaporizers) on the market. I've tried many different devices. I can tell you from experience, get a MANUAL switch PV. The auto switch PV's like the SE, 4081, super mini, blu, etc have consistent problems. The manual switch PV's have much fewer issues. The lareger battery PV's cost more initially, but their batteries last much longer and only cost about $2 to replace. The 510 is closer in size to the real thing. Here are the ones that I suggest you consider:

The Big Five in Long Battery Life Manual Switch PV’s:

Screwdriver: ecigscrewdriver.com
The Black Screwdriver Kit / Totally Wicked eLiquid / Electronic Cigarette e-liquid shop
Prodigy: PureSmoker.com - Home of the USA Built PV !!!
GG: THE GG
JantyStick: Janty USA
LV/ZiMoshi: Zi Moshi Home

Several Joye 510 Suppliers:

Rocky Mountain Vapor you have reached the mountain top of electronic cigarettes! : Home
Heaven-gifts.com Ruyandirect.com Best E-smoking Shop
www.eastmall.net - Eastmall International Co.,Ltd
e-Smokey Treats - Electronic Cigarette's, The healthy alternative to traditional tobacco cigarette's

3 hours sounds like you may be a frequent vaper. The 510 might be about the same. The PCC is a must. It will recharge one battery while you use the other. It will recharge a battery several times a day so you can get throught the day. At home, or long time in the car, try a pass though. It will save you batteries in the long run. Search this forum and you'll find a ton of info on the 510, PCC, and pass throughs. Hope you enjoy the 510.:)

I would start with watching Spikey's fabulous video.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...2-new-updated-comprehensive-intro-vaping.html

This video has served it's purpose well as an introduction to vaping for so many of us!

I would also charge up the SE ecig you have, and take it to the mall and ask the person who sold it to you for some further instruction. I suspect that most of the people who are having problems with them, have a combination of a dry atty and filler that isn't making contact with the atty coil.

Getting a different device might help, but with some juice to refill your cartridges, and proper use, you should be able to get some service from your SE device,e ven if it gets relegated to a back up device.

Don't give up!! There's a bit of a learning curve, but the options are, quitting nicotine altogether, sticking with cigarettes, or this. I guess that's an individual choice.
