so here i am at work, perusing ECF and vaping away and i came across this thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...481056-do-you-find-harder-know-when-stop.html and i started thinking. ya, i do have that problem too. now, being that i was a smoker for a big part of my life and have been off the analogs since june...i thought, maybe i should drop down to 0 nic now. and then i got a little anxiety. like what if it doesnt satisfy me? what kind of withdrawls would i experience from getting rid of the nic? how much more would i be pulling on my vape? all these questions started running through my mind and it just amazes me how strong a hold nic has on me. like im afraid to let it go. just a thought and im sure many of you have thought the same thing. any suggestions, recomendations opinions etc... would be appreciated. i mean the ultimate goal is to even quit vaping eventually (eek!) as the future wife says she does not want me to be vaping when we have kids. thanks guys and happy vaping!

I started vaping in March at 12 mg. I am down to 0-1 mg now. More 0 than 1 just using up some 1mg juice I have left.

I have 1 bottle of 6 mg menthol juice I keep around for those extreme cravings. I hit it up MAYBE once every couple of weeks.

I DIY so it was very easy to walk down the nic levels 1-2 mg at a time. It really has been painless.

My take is get yourself some 0 and see how it goes, keep on hand your regular.

I did this with cigs, and still have the original 1/2 pack collecting dust on my comp table, never occurs to me to smoke one or throw out. They are a reminder of bad things.

So perhaps u can do the same with 0 nic. I mean what's worst thing can happen....... U go back to Vapeing higher, big deal.

You can always try it. Understand, however, 0 nicotine = 0 throat hit. And no, there are no additives that can duplicate the TH provided by nicotine. If TH is not a big deal for you, you may find it's not as hard as you think.

I find with my 0-1 mg juices I can get a nice TH by using a RDA and setting up the coil deliberately to give me TH.

What you consider a nice TH and what I would guess 90% of vapers consider a good throat hit are two different things, IMO. The TH from nicotine, many of us have found, just can't be duplicated. There are ways to get throat irritation or a type of throat sensation but not TH from nicotine.

I have vaped 0 nic using an RDA with a mech, as well as adjusting warmth with a variable PV. It's still like vaping flavored air in comparison to the TH from nicotine, just warmer, flavored air.

And that is fine. I am putting out there how I handle it no more.

That's why there are so many choices, which is good, because everyone is different to a degree. But from the many polls on this subject and the experimentation by so many, it's not an accident that the average nic level vaped is 16 - 18mg. And the most common reason given for the need for the nic is the TH.

thanks for the replys guys. i think ill start blending liquids to drop the level of nic im intaking and if im not satisfied at 0 i can always bump it back up. ive tried 0 nic juice my nephew had and it did nothing for me. granted this was when i first started vaping so i was used to the analogs. maybe things will be different now after some months of exclusively vaping

i am a chain vaper (ex chain smoker) i have 2 different flavors of 0 at any one given point for when i feel like vaping but dont want a real buzz like right before bed. i use them in my dripping atty there is a bit of residual nic still in there so its not really 0 nic but after about 10 drags its gone and i can continue to keep vaping with out fear of being buzzed out of my gourd as im trying to sleep. i chain vape all day long at 1.8 - 2.5 MG pre mL. im not trying to totally stop using nicotine however.

i was also thinking of going to a dripper. so i can switch up between nic levels and flavors at will. instead of waiting to drain the tank on my kfl lol. or maybe just buy another kfl...damnit decisions hahaha

0 nicotine = 0 throat hit .

I have only been vaping for a few weeks and being a X smoker for the last 2 years I wondered about TH. Surprisingly I actually do seem to get what I would call throat hit on 0 nic. Granted as I said I havent smoked in a couple of years but I dont think you can really forget the sensation of throat hit from a real cig?

the 0 nic flavors i use both have a decent amount of pineapple in them so the citrus provides a tangy throat hit

I've been on and off on 0mg for a bit. Keep changing up from about 3mg back to 0. I find myself constantly vaping at home with 0mg, but thus far have not craved an analog. I just puff a lot. LOL. I think I miss the throat hit at 0, but continuously vaping satisfies minimally by having the oral fixation satisfied. Just feeling the vapor leaving my lungs is enough to satisfy my cravings if I do it enough.

Why do you guys want too vape 0 nic,a little bit of nic is actually good for you.

So why aren't these benefits derived from tobacco widely known? The reason, as Mike Adams covered in a previous NaturalNews report (FDA unfairly maligns tobacco plant with graphic new cigarette warning labels) is simple: the FDA and mainstream medical doctors continue to equate the dangers of smoking chemically-laced "processed" cigarettes with anything that has to do with natural tobacco and the potentially health-building compounds it contains.

Studies have also shown that nicotine, by itself, is not very addicting. Nic alone does not fire up the same place in the brain that smoking tobacco does. It's that 400+ different chemical cocktail that is so addicting.

So. If the TH is not an issue with you, I don't think going to 0 nic is going to be much of a problem.

Try Vaping 0 nic for a day. See what happens.

I am down to 6mg nic. Gonna try 0 very soon.

I want down to 0 nic because if the FDA screws us over for getting nic for our juice I don't want to jones myself back into smoking. That simple.
