Hey guys,

I'm currently using 11mg (sometimes 18mg) juice, preferring 70/30 mix. BUT i'm contemplating starting DIYing to reduce my nicotine down very gently. I have lots and lots of questions before I even start on this though...

Firstly- safety gear? I know I'll need gloves but are there any other specific requirements? Perhaps safety goggles, overalls? I'm taking the safety bit very seriously!

Next, storage. I currently store all my juices in a plastic box on a shelf but should I store my DIY gear elsewhere? Perhaps under my bed? There are no kids or pets to worry about but storage in a fridge might be difficult as I share my fridge with three housemates...

Thirdly, I have some flavoured juice at 18mg which I'd prefer not to waste. Is it possible to dilute this a little to make it usable now I'm dropping my nicotine? If it is possible, all advice on doing this would be gratefully received.

Finally, if I buy Vape 54 (for example), there is a choice between PG and VG based...how would I begin to turn this in to a 70PG/30VG mix? Would anybody be happy to 'mentor' me through this and help me draft some proposed shopping lists and recipes, please? Again, any help on this would be gratefully received!

Thanks muchly in advance!x

The simplest way to reduce the 18mg nic is to add an equal volume of 70/30. This will give you 9mg juice, but the flavor will also be cut in half. You can PM me and I can make a few suggestions.

Oh, You can store the juice under the bed, unless you have a large volume.. then it should be refrigerated. PM me.

Hi Rachy,

Welcome to the DIY world. Your in for some fun.

1) Latex gloves, safety glasses and a plastic apron. This is for mixing concentrated nicotine. If you were to spill some on you, the apron is good because it won't soak through and you can remove it quickly.

2) You can store your juices in a cool dark place, in a closet, under the bed, etc. The fridge is for long term storage.

3) What glassmanoak said.

4) Use the search function and youtube. Mixing is fairly easy. There is a recipe calculator called ejuice me up. You can use that as a guide. Read the how to in the pull down menu.

Rachy--I'm a brand newbie DIYer. I have been mixing straight in the bottle using syringes. If I could do my first order again I would get 2 of the 3ml syringes and 3 of the 1ml so I didn't have to get up CONSTANTLY to wash out the syringes. Also get the 14g needle tips and twice as many plastic bottles as you originally think you need! I'm already out of bottles. Boo.

Other than that you need the vg, pg, nic base, and flavors. Good luck!!
