You should talk with this lady @AndriaD

Thank you very much, hopefully she will come visit the thread, I look forward to hearing
what she has to say. :)

I think all vape-related websites and blogs are a bang-up idea! Mine is desperately in need of updating, it's been probably a year since I added any new actual content, rather than just playing with the design. It's at http://angryvaper.crypticsites.com/ .

I *intend* a new article on "Long-Term vaping" since I've been vaping for over a year and a half now, but intending and actually *writing* are two very different things. I'll procrastinate until words just start forcing themselves out of me, and I have to start writing them down just to organize them. :D

Thank you for your support on this. :)

I must say, I LOVE your Blog... It is very informative.

Do you might if I contact you when I am creating my blog for some ideas or
maybe if I can use some of your studies?

Go right ahead and use whatever you find in those links at my site -- they're from other sites, I just try to highlight the really valuable vape-oriented articles and websites I run across. Twitter is another good resource in the vape fight; a lot of the websites and articles I've got links to, are from folks I've run across, sometimes twitted with ;) on Twitter -- back in april when this site was down for software changeover, I spent a lot of time on Twitter, just trying to stay sane in the absence of ECF :D but there's some really cool vapers there. :thumb:

It's funny; I got a Twitter acct in 2010, and for four years, I had one follower -- my son. :D As soon as I started tweeting great vape-related stuff, to let it get more exposure (last year!), I started getting followers. :D Think it's about 219 by now, so if I tweet some great vaping article, I know at least 219 people will see that link. :D :thumb: It's a great way to build a movement!

Thank you so much!!

Yeah, I have a Twitter account,(posted in my Profile)
I am not on it much, sometimes political stuff, and usually
only post when a e-cig company messes with the shipping, like it they stop shipping
to other EU countries, or if they increase their shipping prices,
then I write a complaint about that web shop, and compliment the web shops
who are willing to work with their customers. :)

OK.... be easy on me.... :D

This MIGHT be a stupid totally cheesy idea. I would like your thoughts on this,
and if you have any suggestions, that would be great.

So, here it goes:
I am thinking of doing a video PSA type blog, to document my new journey into
Vaping.

I have some bad lung issues... and am having problems breathing, this is why
I am going to try to switch to vaping.

Yesterday, I bought a new starter set, the eGo A1 Starter Kit.

in the past, I have tried the V2 Vapor Couture and Blu e-cigs.
They didn't work too well for me.. too many issues with getting the cartridge refills.. etc.. etc..

So, anyway, after I ordered my new set, I was scouring the net, for info
on vaping I came across countless articles on how the governments and
some health organizations are lying about the health risks. This just upsets me
like crazy, I don't quite understand WHY there are so many lies about vaping.
Those lies NEED to be countered.

Anyway, it got me thinking... What if I were to do a video blog series
that would document my current health issues? Then every 2 weeks or so,
I would do an update, as to my progress.
Possibly, I could enlist my doctor, so he could also document my health progress, etc.. etc.

I was just thinking that since I am going to be starting this now, that
documenting it from the beginning, so they can see my health now...
and then see how I progress in my journey.

The videos would be VERY short... People don't like long rambling videos.(or long rambling opening posts..) LOL :)
also, I would script them somewhat, so that I would have a focused topic.

My daughter suggested that she video tape me, while I am walking up a hill
or up some stairs, while talking to the camera, so people could see how I have a problem breathing
'when walking up hills etc... etc.. and then, being that I would
be doing these every few weeks, people would be able to actually SEE
my progress for themselves.

Then, I would do other short videos, maybe make them a bit funny,
that would have different studies on vaping and the effects and the
comparisons to smoking.

So, what do you all think?

Do you think it is a good idea?
Do you have any suggestions on what I could do in these videos?

Like I said, please be easy on me, I'm a delicate flower... LOL :D

I have no idea what is a video PSA type blog, but sounds good.

Thank you!

PSA means: Public Service Announcement

It would be a sort of health informative type blog. Using my own progress as a young emphysema patient. :)
OK, middle age emphysema patient.... :D
