And my lil ol' WalMart TracFone just keeps plugging along ....

LOL, but you're right Mark, technology is a wonderful thing as long as its all working right.

TT

LOL, TT, my first cell was a TracFone from WalMart. Now I have "upgraded" to a flip style from the Dollar Store.

Good morning gang!

LOL, hey lilac ... one of the old guys from up there in town at the Coffee shop has one of those fancy flipper style telephones and he is sooo proud of it. He'll walk around looking at that thing and studying it and punch the buttons like all the kids do. We all know he's just pretending to be cool like the kids and we know he's not sending one of those test messages or whatever they are because he doesn't know how and he doesn't have anybody to send a test message to anyhow.

Then when he's finished sending his pretend test message he'll look around to make sure everybody is watching him and he'll flip that thing shut and walk off with a big smile on his face and all proud of himself. One time I asked him about it and he said "oh, I was sending my wife a test message."

LOL, but we all know his wife hasn't spoke to him in over twenty years!

Except to cuss at him.

TT

Morning Buzzards!

Lilac, I have Tracfone's Big Easy so I can see the damn numbers on it lol! I don't like texting on it because you have to use the number pad for letters, and then scroll on the text page to pick the right letter from the numbers you push. I wish I had gotten a flip phone tho, this one is too easy to .... dial http://www.sherv.net/cm/emoticons/mooning/big-.....gif

Thank you 5c. We both run Win7x64 pro, and I'm fairly certain we have the disk...I'm just too lazy to look thru the boxes down in the basement.
Okay but if you need it just let me know.

TT I just got one of those fancy phones with the touch keyboard or you can slide a little regular keyboard out. Maybe if I do like your friend the chicks at the store will think I'm cool and I can get a date. But on second thought I don't want a date. I broke the screen on the little one I had by having my keys in the same pocket.

5c you already are cool ;)

Got my taxes done without needing to get into Kev's computer...not much to an EZ form

Found 2 things that might have caused the .dll issue. The cmos batt is dead in his rig, and he had just reconnected his external HD and a different monitor. I doubt the different monitor has anything to do with the error, but whatever the problem is may be why he thought his other monitor had died. I'm too lazy to bring the monitor up from the basement and test it on my rig. It's his problem, no reason for me to worry about it.

Hi everyone!!!!

What a crazy week it's been for me, and I'm glad it's over! TGIF!!!!!

That coconut mojito that you stumbled upon sounds like what happened to me with the Purple Haze Bov. After vaping banana cream as an ADV, I just thought it sounded "different" to try, but then couldn't put it down!!! :)

Hope you all have a great weekend!!!

Heh, yea. I've found tricks to bypass just about every MS nuisance out there. The most useful one was how to reset your Windows Validation Key. Had to do that when I built my new PC before I upgraded to Win7 64.

The boot issue could be related to the external drive. Sometimes the PC will try to boot from the external. I did a BIOS update on my mobo and for some reason my boot priorities got changed and it tried to boot from my back up drive. It popped up a couple different errors. One was bootmgr and I forgot the other. Since my back up drive doesn't have an OS on it there was no boot manager. I also plug my cell phone into my PC for charging and my PC would occasionally try to boot from my phones HDD. I had to go into my BIOS and remove my phone from the boot process (as well as reset my boot drive).

Windows can get touchy at times. I've been through just about every problem they have. But they have new ones all the time. If people would keep them updated many of those problems wouldn't occur. But alas even with the latest edition there is still problems. One of the worst ones is drivers for new windows programs on older computers. I run into that a lot fixing other peoples stuff.

I'm scared to say it, but I've never had any problems, blue screens, or errors running Win 7x64. With XP I did, and with Win98 I wanted to take my shotgun to it. Mod, I'm betting on the external HDD since he had just added it back after I had been using it to watch Oz, and The Shield.

Honestly, I'm not sure I want to fix it because I may not be able to resist the temptation to invade his privacy.
