Fran I think you are right on the espresso. I remember you sending me some too. 5'er, I've never tried any menthol vapes.

Decided I was going to make an attempt to take my front door panels off so I could get to the speakers this morning. Window crank lock pins 1-Debi 0. Found some good pics on the Hyundai forums that show where the lock pins are between which spacers...I'm gonna win this battle! After lunch, and maybe a nap ;)

Bo most of them have a horseshoe shaped clip that needs to be pulled off. I usually bend a coat hanger into a hook and pull it off but they sell a handle clip remover tool for a couple bucks at the parts store. The object is to get both ends of the clip out at the same time. It's between the handle and the plastic washer under the handle.

Thanks 5, I was rooting around on the far side of the spacer. Here's a pic of where the lock pin thingie is.

I have one of these, wonder if I could get hold of it with the hook pick.

They look like they will work. Just be careful not to get one end stuck in the handle. If you do just get ahold of it ad pull it out even if it bends. They are only a buck for a new one. Just hold the door panel and that plastic ring back with a screwdriver so you have room and can see the clip.

Ok guys, I know these are cheap, but still better than blown factory. Help me decide between the $30 pair on the top, or the $40 Kenwood scratch and dent sale pair. Yeah that's right...I'm a big spender

Thanks 5, I'll just grab one of the tools that's meant for the job...they're cheap.

Moon, I agree on personally hearing the speakers first, but there is a problem with that called impulsive purchase. I won't be able to restrain myself from listening to high end speakers and end up spending more  I'm not worried about the reviews of the bass on those speakers, I have a sub in my trunk and my x-over amp runs the majority of the bass through it. I'm mainly looking for a decently clean sounding mid and high range.

I do read and rely on reviews, but you have to really read them, not just look at how many stars they have. Some of the reviews are from people expecting massive sound from cheap speakers...one reviewer gave a 1 star rating without ever even taking them out of the box...he didn't have a car to put them in

First thing I want to do is get the passenger side door panel off and see what I'm working with. Mounting depth, do I need speaker baffles, is there a wiring harness or will I need to strip and splice wires, etc. If I'm going to Best Buy or one of the car audio places here in town, I want to be pre armed with knowledge, so I can tell if the sales person has a clue, or just wants to make a sale :) It's not like I'm putting a killer system in a 10 year old bucket!

Oh, I spend endless time actually reading what the users have to say about a product. Trust me on that. The star rating may attract me to a product but it is the actuial reviews and what they say that I base my decision on. :)

Me too. I read consumers reports reviews and PC Mag. reviews a lot before I buy anything. There are others I read too.

Bo I'm driving a 17 yr. old bucket. As soon as I get my daughters credit cards paid off I'm going to get a new one.

I don't do any shopping on line and I don't read reviews.

I have a better way to do all this.

I just ask salemgold and whoosh!!! She's gone to find the best deal with the best reviews!!!

That gal can come up with vendors I'd have never thought of and great prices and always a discount code and do it super fast!

So I just ask her then I go get a cup of coffee or take a little nap and usually by the time I get back to the computer she's already sent me the information I wanted.

I just love to shop ........ this way.

My 58 hours are up...... off to pay for the other half !!!

For all the EVOD / Protank / Dbox uses, I just rebuilt a couple of atomizer heads and it was very easy. The first one took me 10 minutes and the second less than 5. The first one was 1.1Ω and the other is 2.5Ω. They work great and I don't need to my heads again.

... and Good Morning :)
