Yikes 5, I bet that was scary! Probably the funniest (only because there were no injuries) bad things I've had happen was in an old junker LTD I had briefly. The front U joint went out and dropped the drive shaft right into the pavement...ripped the rear end right out from under me! Scared the bejeebus out of me! I have no idea what ever happened to that car, I walked away from it sitting on the side of the road where we managed to move it, and never looked back

It was funny because your yelling "LOOK OUT" to everyone thinking they can actually hear you.

I had a drive line go and wired it in with a hanger to get home. I had to rewire it about 5 times before I got home. I told the girl with me that no one will ever believe this story because of the forces that are on it. I couldn't push the gas pedal at all until I was rolling about 5 miles an hour and then just ever so slightly. It took us forever to go 5 mi. on the side of the road.

I had the front wheel break off with the aframe and brake rotor once at 7o too. Luckily it jammed up into the fender well but it wouldn't turn. Left most of the rubber off that side of my tire on the road until I got it stopped.

Well the headlights passed the test....99% high beam and around thirty miles of the blackest back roads I know....Then the neighbor's poodle had made a jail break when I got back...Rode the fields but never did see the poodle...Now all I gotta do is put the dash back in the Ranger...and box my tools!!

Morning all :)

Upper 30s today and mid 40s tomorrow...if I don't shoot Katie before this day is over, I might be ok! I got all of the important shoveling and clearing done last night, but she started busting on me as soon as I woke up. Clear a path thru the back yard so she can feed the birds, clear the sides of the street where the snow plow pushes the snow...are you FREAKING KIDDING ME?! I handed her the shovel and said non essentials are up to her

Every year we go thru this argument about raking the snow and ice off the eves of the roof. Her roofer told her not to, the roofer who lives down the road told her not to...guess what I spent the morning doing? Yup, ladder in the snow, with a roof rake, pulling down snow that will all be melted by tomorrow

Is it spring yet?

Yay, Katie's Christmas gift got here today! She knows the package is for her, and even tho she knows it didn't cost but a few dollars, she's excited as a little kid  Isn't it amazing what just a small gesture will do for making someone feel special?

It didn't take her long to get over her mad spell after I drew the line in the snow this morning. I think the sunshine had as much to do with her mood elevation as anything.

Evening all :)

Aw that's sweet Bov! I'm glad Katie is excited for her Christmas gift. :)

Evening Fran!! :) I am just on my way to bed....seems Miss Maddie is sharing her cold with Joc and I. Looks like a Nyquil night for us for sure and if we're lucky it'll keep it at bay.

Did another run out for a few more things today. Just one or two more stores, and I am all finished. This weekend will be for wrapping!

Hope you all have a great night!!!

The dash is back in the Ranger and all remains good...Should all go good at the doc's I'll head on down too the Tractor Supply and purchase a tool box for the Ranger tomorrow...

**edit**

Good morning everyone!

That Nyquil is good stuff. Feeling better than I expected to, so that's a win in my book! Will likely take it again tonight as a precaution. Hoping for the best!

I wish you all a fantastic day! We're warming up some as well down here Fran...in the 60's on Sunday. Yes Sir'ree, I'll take it!!!
