Afternoon everyone :) We're up to 50* here and the melting is in progress. Spent some time this morning digging out the spot where I usually park my car so that it's not blocking Katie from getting out of the garage.

Some of you may remember when we had the humongous stump removed and had a couple of yards of gravel delivered so that I could spread it and make the extra parking space to the left of the garage. That's the part I cleared today...I didn't take any pics of the snow this go round.

That's a nice looking yard Bov !!!!!!!!

The toolbox saga.....Washed 1/2 inch of dust off my new box last evening and found the top to be bent....Invisible with the dust and very visible when clean...plus it's black so it really stood out to me...Obviously every Tractor Supply stocks one and only one of this box...I checked the next closest and found this store's box to have only light scratches...They graciously offered to exchange with me but I'd left mine at home...I was merely checking my options....Next farthest out TS's box was worse than the two previous....I'm looking a trade or refund and decide to up my purchasing power and get the refund...Enter the assistant manager whom had given me the additional 10% off....I heard every excuse in the book from him when he finally said that I must have damaged it...Let's just say that I left a few minutes later with a full refund....I guess he figured me for a nice guy as I had been up until the accusation...Then I busted a 5CS...TS's box featured a huge old TS logo thru bolted on...Live with the logo....the holes or whatever you plug those holes with...a compromise at any rate...With my cash back I decided on checking Agri Supply where I knew the boxes were more expensive but of better quality...I went with their UWS black, low-profile box....Made in Dixie....Nice holografic UWS logo complete with a jumping Marlin....and I promptly removed that!! Try as I might to save some dollars it just didn't play out...This box was $358 but the better quality and a 100% undamaged box was worth it to me....I'll be installing it tomorrow.....

I'm sure I feel the need to throw down a few more paragraphs before but....Just wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas!!! Ya'll be careful out there!!!!!!!!!

Afternoon all :)

Good for you Dee! It's pretty sad when someone resorts to blaming the customer for a damaged or defective product. It's an attitude I despised when I worked in retail, knowing that if you treat your customers right, it comes back two fold. When you treat a customer like sheet....it comes back 100 fold!

Moon, are you iced in? My old Tx home town is buried in ice...I've been watching some of the storm coverage. Stay safe!

Bov, no not iced in yet. The sidewalk is slick, not much ice on the lines and the blacktop out front has traction still. But it is still dripping rain. Weatherman says minor accumulation of freezing rain then maybe up to 4" of snow tomorrow then cold cold Mon. down to 1*. Thanks for asking!

I did my running around yesterday got Half Moon's new slick glasses and groceries. The stores were packed. :)

We had a little snow yesterday but it was gone by nightfall.

Way to go Big Dee. They're lucky it wasn't I. About the time the guy approached me with the idea that I nust of done it we'd a been outside and I'd be showing him why I couldn't of done it. I hate those punks that try to blame everybody else for their shortcomings.

Dang it Bo I'm going to grab my trunks and head your way if it gets much warmer for you. It's 43° here right now.

Five I left the box in the bed of my truck so we were outside!!!! The bent top he said was due to the manufacturing process....Negative....It came from being stacked, unprotected, giraffe azz high on a western bound ship...I don't know this fella's lifestyle but when he blamed the bottom dent on me I'm dang sure he heard some things he wasn't comfortable with....The new box is on and all nice and black...Compliments the blackness everywhere else.....

So the other night I purchased a rain diverter for over my back door...There is just a small deck out there and water just splashes the door unmercifully...Finally the water found a way in...Naturally damage was being done before detection...Well that diverter was 8 foot long and very light gauge sheet metal...I strapped it in and it looked fairly secure....The strap was dragging the road with no diverter in sight when I got home...I took some cinder blocks tonight and pinned this one down...Fresh silicone is applied...A monsoon is predicted...4 inches tomorrow....Hope I can get the diverter cut and installed prior...

Got to 50 today and did some big time melting. 40 overnight should do away with the rest of the snow on the roofs. Most is gone already. Road is a slushy mess. Another 50 tomorrow and the road will be mud. 40 Monday,20's Tuesday and 18 for Christmas day. Back in the deep freeze.
