So where's 5-card? I thought he'd be here already, breaking up all the FranC/908Tracy/Bonivia girl talk about weather and coconut oil long enough to get in some manly-man stuff--like crowing about his Seahawks until the rest of us see no better option than blowing a .357 slug through our tortured minds.

Winds clocked at 86.3 at RDU International @ 30 miles Northeast...Couple of areas with damage nearby...tornados suspected but IDK if confirmed...I can confirm the wind was hellacious as was the rain...I got limbs on top of limbs...hopefully all the shingles rode through the storm...We good....wet but GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Coconut oil provides ketones that prevent Alzhimers....I read a pretty good article written by a doctor in Gainesville, Fla...Big Pharma was doing a study that was dropped when coconut oil was found to be effective on it's own...I got Mom on it and just dosed Spike for the first time...he too likes it....Thanks for the link as I'd no idea Spike could benefit....

Tracy...Supply and Demand...The demand is already stressing the supply...The legal supply has increased slightly and I suppose the black market knows that full and well...Over 1 million in sales the first day and many customers were not served due too demand, long lines and such...$290,000 ++ tax gain the first day....

Haha Jerry, at least you root for the right team ;)

What Dee said, Tracy. The legal route is quite pricey, but so is the medicinal if you live in a state where you can get a card. CT is still trying to decide how and where to dispense. Street is still likely to be the least expensive route, but has it's own pros and cons.

Poor PI looking for some man bonding, and got more coconut oil info from Dee...priceless!

I'm confused, El Dee. I thought you were a Southern Rocker, hailing from below the Mason Dixon line.

The fact of the matter is that I thought you might be a Lynyrd Skynrd apparition who took up vaping over health concerns. That plane crash thing was a nasty mess, and I could see taking after-the-horse-has-bolted precautions.

Anyway, are you talking about Colorado? I think you must be. Hence my confusion. As much as I have a hard time picturing you as Rhett Butler, a six-shooting John Wayne is an even bigger stretch.

Is it just me, or is the football season getting longer and longer??? Honest to God I swore the Super Bowl used to be held near the end of January.

I will see you all tomorrow, this girl is going to bed!! Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

No, it's not just you. It's getting longer. Why? The answer means stealing a sentence from the film All the President's Men: "Follow the money."

Free agency was making things rough on the team owners. Some were threatened with second-homelessness, of slicing their Filet Mignon using gold-plated knives as opposed to the solid variety.

You know those ASPCA commercials in which abused, underfed cats and dogs stare into your soul, pleading for help?

That was the state of things a decade or two ago, if you can mentally replace the mugs of Lassie and Spot with those of bald, overfed, Cuban cigar-puffing NFL tycoons.

The NFL didn't actually do an emotion-evoking advertising blitz over it (I suspect someone with common sense tapped a silk-suited shoulder and whispered that it might fall flat with Green Bay denizens shivering over their tailgate party sausages), but they decided on another strategy: extend the season. Break up the divisions into progressively smaller parts. Throw in wild card teams. Add a few very, very lucrative weeks to the product they're selling.

Make those physical oddities on the field earn their weekly shipments of steroids and Coca Cola (wink, nod).

Hence, we're into January and still waiting for the Super Bowl. And I'm not cynical at all. Not at all.

Well Wharf everybody is saying the 49ers are going to beat the Panthers today. That should make you a happy man.
righton2.gif

That might make Wharf a happy man, but it does nothing for me. I have no team—by geography.

My heart belongs to Pokeygizmo. She's a South Carolina denizen—who cares nothing about pro football—but I have to have a reason to care.

Go Panthers! (Get me into Pokey's pants!)
