Morning Fran! How are you up there so far? We have a rate of an inch per hour at the moment, with lulls in between. About 4" so far, to turn to sleet and rain as the warm air moves in early evening. Katie is already riding me about dragging the snow blower out to "keep up" with the snow
I stand firm on not doing sheet until it's done! Just the front and back steps and stoop. She will totally bury my car in revenge

Round 2 overnight brought sleet turning to freezing rain then back to sleet....The trees are now covered with ice and hanging low...Round 3 is upon us and we're getting a sleet/snow mix atm...Doused the satellite with hot water and got the ice off so we gots tv now....No cars were out and about...Spike has been getting by on the grass remaining under the Dodge though he has to be toted out there...Should I never see snow or ice again that would be fine by me....
I'm getting through this fine...3 trucks in the yard and they are all 4X4...I've not even fired up the big nasty two as of yet as the little Ranger is more than capable...Plan A for the day....FOOD!!!!!!

Salem I am sorry to hear about your son! I have a 50 something year old cousin in the hospital for the past week suffering from flu like symptoms. Medically induced coma and life support to hopefully get him through. He was never sick a day in his life before this. Serious stuff! Another cousin is a nurse at same hospital and said there are 3 others at their hospital, and 2 more at another locally in the same condition. Good for you for getting him to the hospital!!!

We have shifted from snow to snow/rain/freezing rain mix. Good Gawd that crap is heavy and hard to move! Opened the windows and screens upstairs to clear the snow off the sills (so they don't leak) and slammed my fingers in one of the windows...no my name is not Grace

I just had the most hilarious phone conversation with a Rep from DOW Chemical...I had such a hard time not busting out into laughter! On their website I filled out a request for samples of their VG and in order to qualify, you have to give your phone number so a Rep can contact you. Soooo, Fred asks me what my start up business is all about (had to put that on the app too) so I told him that I'm launching a new business named "Heaven's Scent" and I will be making lotions, potions and...ahem...personal lubricants, and I will need a supplier got my VG I could hear the clack of a Zippo lighter in the background, he tells me that the smallest orders they can process for a client is a 55 gallon drum. I laughed and told him I didn't think I could make that much "potion" so he said he'll see if he can talk his boss into 5 gallon containers so that he can at least get a sample out to me! Buahaha...he wished me good luck and happy potion making...said it was a shame I wasn't in business yet so he could get something *special* for his wife for Valentine's Day!
