I can't make up my mind whether to nap in the am or pm so I just do them both.

I see TT don't like his new slippers.

Ruh roh, sounds like another visit from Frank (note NSFW):

Hahaaa!! Boy does that bring back memories, Mark

My nap is like a daily do over. I wake up and try to drink a cup of coffee in peace, but it never happens in the afternoon any better than it does in the mornings. Unfortunately my MIL does not have a mute button.

Well they say tonight but actually toward morning so it is Wednesday.

Wait a second Fran.

You mean today's not Thursday?

Sometimes I hate this not having to go to work. At Whatsthatburger they had an electronic calender on the wall in the kitchen and I always knew what day it was. I would stand there for hours watching that thing change from the time to the day to the date to the year and then it would start all over again.

It was almost as good as watching color television.

And I always knew what day it was.

You know, we have quite a few women here and there are a lot of things I just don't understand about women.

One big one is, why do they have to have so many cookbooks? My wife has several shelves filled with cookbooks, plus 200,000 notes with recipes on them.

She never uses any of them. Those shelves might as well be filled with books on nuclear physics.

Then there is the cooking channel. Every second that I am not in the house, she is watching the cooking channel.

Never once has she made one recipe that she learned from watching all those cooks.

My wife says I'm hard to cook for because I don't eat casseroles and female food. I'm a man of simple tastes. I like southern fried chicken like my mother used to make, with mashed potatoes and milk gravy. I enjoy ham, meatballs, roast beef, steak and beef tips over noodles, plus any French delicacy.

She never makes it. There's always one ingredient she needs that she doesn't have.

When you see us eating out ... now you'll know the reason why.

She didn't have any paprika so she couldn't make it at home.

LOL, yeah Sdh, I'm still on that killer diet. My heart doctor has determined that a big belly might not be in my best interests. When I get skinny I'm going to feel out of place at the Coffee shop with all those pot bellied old men in their Farmer John coveralls with the buttons open on the sides where you can see their Fruit of the Looms.

Its not an expression of our freedom or anything like some of the young folks do with their pants halfway down over their underwear. Its just because their too chubby or too lazy to button them.

But I don't like to look like them so I wear Levi's and just leave the zipper down with my shirt tail hanging out the front.

Hahaaa TT! I know those men! I miss my bib overalls!

Today has been a hat day. First thing this morning I had to put my hard hat on and go work in the street. The City never plowed our street wider than one lane after the last big storm so they came with a front end loader and smeared it all over the place. I think they had been told to dump it in the dump truck with the plow on the front, but they decided to make a mess on our street. So hard hat on, I had to shovel halfway down the street and uncover the storm drain. MIL's orders!

Go in the house and I get to put on my Plumber's hat, go down in the basement and fix the sewer drain cap that the real plumber cross threaded the last time he was here. Took a pipe wrench and a big ole honkin' mallet to get that sucker off. WD-40 and stiff brush, now she spins like a dream.

Referee hat to break up an argument between hub and MIL...that one I should have sub contracted out to someone else!

Finally, Delivery hat to go fetch lunch that MIL HAD to have from the Chinese food place...on the other side of town! Because it's better food than the one that's only a block away from the house.

I have my Customer Service hat on now...who needs help?!
