Haha @ Prissy B*tch! I called Abby (who was my shi tzu/poodle mix) my Chitty Poo :)

I so happy that Joc had a great time. That southern drawl is a funny thing! Depending on who I'm around mine will change a bit. If I'm talking to someone who has the slightest southern twang in their speech, I will go into full Paula Deen mode without even realizing it

Hey Dee, maybe that's why I've never had a speeding ticket! I never said I'd never been pulled over LOL

I know I'm a vampire. I hate the sun. hisssss When sun comes up I go down (to sleep you pervs).

Another 110 day and I was out in it doing some yard work. Then I fixed the hot water heater that's been down for the last week. Cold showers, even in the desert, suck. Just got back from grocery shopping an hour ago. All on about 4hrs sleep. blah

Successful Open Water checkouts this past weekend, four new divers released to the world :) Junky visibility and kind of cool Saturday, Sunday we switched locations and it was about a 15 degree warmer day, much more fun for all.

I decided to pick up an inflatable two man kayak. A rigid hull would be great, but inflatable is a much better price point and we're getting it just for mucking about on a calm lake, not white water. I took out the canoe that came with the camp yesterday after getting back from class, remembered how much I enjoy paddling around. The inflatable, an SE 370 Pro package, gets solid reviews, plus I can take it up north during diving checkout weekends, something to play with in the afternoon.

Our camp is on a flood plain, the only one on this river from the Finger Lakes to Lake Ontario. With the huge rain we got last week, it's living up to its name -- about 1/3 - 1/2 the front yard has some water on it, no problem since the house is multiple feet higher and on supports, but cool to see. Neighbor said one of his kids was on the lawn yesterday morning netting fish :)

Afternoon all! It was barely still morning when I woke up

Mod, I hope your knee gets better without you having to see a Dr.

Glad to know your house is safe from the rising water Mark. We are getting ready for round 2 of basement flooding. Predicting another 2" of rain for us today, tonight and tomorrow.

Too bad you couldn't tape or glue some plastic to the wall just under the leak and then hang the other end in a bucket so the water would go into the bucket instead of the floor. Then all you would have to do is keep the bucket emptied. Just a thought.

Tell that to my knee that's been swollen and sore for last week. ugh lol
What ever you do don't have it operated on. I had the cartlidge tear out of my knee and I'm telling you it was the most painful operation I ever had. I said if it happens ever again it will stay that way.

Cool Mark! Netting fish in the yard. Enjoy that inflatable kayak! Sounds like fun!!!

I just finished letting some water out of the pool (through the filter). It's location is easiest for maintenance, but not for letting water out. There is a retaining wall at my yards edge closest to the house with pavers below, that filter sits right on the edge of that wall, and just below (a foot away) it are bilco doors to the basement. You guessed it! When emptying the pool that way the only choice is to shove it in another direction with a large shop broom. There are spill ports (if you will) on this pool, but I'm not taking any chances!! I'd rather sweep that water in the pouring rain.

Ahh ain't all this rain fun? LOL! Tracy we don't have outside access to our basement...no bilco doors. Makes getting anything bulky in and out of the basement an extra PITA

5c the places where the leaks are in the basement aren't on the walls, otherwise that would be a great idea. The leaks are all along where the walls meet the floor, and a couple of cracks in the concrete floor where the water perks up through. Also a couple of spots around one of the sewer drains where they are cemented into the floor. They are recessed and on an angle like the pic below, there are chips in the cement around the drain threads where water comes in as well.

Now I remember you saying they were in the floor. Duh. They say a person's memory is the second thing to go when you get old.

Tracy your pool supply will have a 50 or 100' flat vinyl tube that you clamp on your filter and roll it out to the front yard... works great and they're pretty cheap.

Sorry you had a bad experience 5'er. I had a tear in my knee scoped 3 years ago and it turned out great. Now I can do full squats and only once in a long while I'll get a light dull ache. He's local but also is the Wash Huskys Orthopedic surgeon.
