Me too Keelalagirl - wooden spoons seemed to be en vogue. Now it's naughty chairs, not sure what the chair could have done. When's it ever been a noodle?

Oh yes....my mom BROKE many of them wooden spoons too....she gave up on the yardstick as it broke waaaay to easy......

The noodle: A long noodle like flotation device used for smacking rowdy kids in the pool.....oh and out of line husbands:p

Well, Morandir, I'm not sure about you but, that's precisely why I keep the keys in a safe place out of reach - justified or not. The odd coin though, there's nothing to be done about that.

I've seen these noodles of which you speak and have thwaped (medical term I've just invented indicating the very good noise when said noodle makes contact). There were margaritas involved and something about 'the force'. Was a fun evening.

Moran, I'm from the southeast, but I'm a nice girl, and I don't care for golf either. LOL And talking about yardsticks...Lord, my grandmother use to break quite a few on our butts, when we were growing up, but what I hated even more, was when my other grandmother used switches on us. I can still feel the pain on my legs, even today, and I'm 52 years old. It's ashame we can't discipline our kids, like our parents use to. We probably wouldn't have so much violence, as we do, now. :grr: Damn laws!!! Oh, and for your information...I love ice hockey! LOL

Flyswatter was fun but the best my mom used (or worst!) was one of the hotwheels race car tracks. Them things have a long reach, big sting, and a nice welt-to-hit ratio...

My mom moved in for a year (and is currently out) some time back... was quite satisfying to say -my house, MY rules- *giggle* ... not that I had any spoons handy. Oh the irony! Seriously though... I wouldn't do that, that's my mom.

Golf? I would rather watch paint dry or stick needles in my eyes. Most unentertaining sport out there and a waste of a good walk, on par with watching a game of chess (pardon the pun) but that's just my opinion. Each to their own though (boring yawn yawn). On the other hand Tiger Woods is very entertaining Lol.

I like to pick on a troll every now and then. I spent too many years running online communities to not enjoy it. Next time it gets outta hand, give me a holler...I'll go ruffle some feathers :)
thats why i did it ....i really wasnt upset just hand slapping ....its about respect and it was worded like a put-down lol .....sports are kinda subjective,i wouldnt put down people for not liking baseball or a movie or a painting ....
think its rude and only a rude person would do that ...esp since we wrote banterish things ......
personally i always thought golf was an elitist sport, you'd have to be wealthy to golf or ski in california..of which i do neither

Eeeezy Luceee . . . Luma's not a troll, he's just a tad . . . touchy . . . about his golf. And maybe a few other things. He's still part of the family, though!

BTW, THANK YOU for your Lucille Ball avi!! Gosh, how I just loved that woman, and that show! There will never be another like it.

I am a dinghy redhead LOL And I never read the thread in question...so I didn't know it was Luma. My apologies. But for the future, any trolls...send em my way. I not only feed them, I stuff them until they burst...or shake their heads in frustration and run away LOL

I truly love Lucy too. It was a simpler time for sure. And one of my favorite movies is The Long Long Long Trailer LOL....hey Lucy on the DVR! See ya all later! :)
