I try and vape just like I smoked. By that I mean many things, smoking is not just about the sensation. There are other habits and addictions associated with smoking besides just the nicotine. I knew to quit smoking this is what I had to do and it worked. I was a heavy smoker. I vape for 5 - 15 minutes, same amount of time I spent smoking 1 or 2 cigarettes depending on my craving. I put the PV down and return to it for another session in about 15 - 20 minutes or so... lather, rinse, repeat. Just like I smoked.
I smoked 1.5 - 2 packs a day. I vape 24mg at 7ml - 9ml a day out of a tank. So at best, for me, 1ml of juice is equal to 5 cigarettes. Talking cartos, they hold about 1ml and not all of it is usable. If the carto is prefilled it may even have dried out some. So at best it is 3 or 4 cigarettes in a carto. I started vaping on a Blu and only used 3 cartos a day and they don't hold a full ml. I was dumb and new to ecigs (notice i didn't say vaping).
Of course this is very simple math and can change and your mileage may very, but this is my experience.
This is why mall kiosk vendors are doing nothing but lying and taking advantage of newcomers because there cannot be a standard increment of vapage versus filler cartridge style atomizers because of the variation of vapers style and background.
Those who smoke have so many different methods... some were light smokers.. some heavy.. some smoked for just a few years ... some many and many of years... some smoke 1/2 PAD > 1 PAD > 1.5-2 PAD and so on..... Some smoked on routine and some chain smoked... Some only ingaged in smoking socially or only when drinking.... and the list goes on!!
Some only have a level of dependency based on curiosity ( usually the type that will smoke when they want to and don't feel they have to everyday) while others are die hard killers for the craving** Me when I couldn't get a cig and catch that fix because I swear I had one on my lip right after the other and found myself quite often lighting one when I already had one burning in the ashtray!! LOL.....
So, everybody is different... You drop into vaping and I have talked to everybody about everything I could possibly be curious about when it comes to vaping over the 6 plus years I have been cig-free ( after 30 + in the fold of BT). There are so many who smoked as heavy if not heavier than me .... 24 mg gave them head-aches until they decided to go down and 12 mg was their niche. Heck some 2 PAD'ers did 48 mg / all day every day @ 4-6 mil per day.. and that kept them happy. Me personally, I started with 36 mg @ 4 mil per day for about a month.> 24 mg @ 6-7 mil per day.> 18-22 @ 6 mil per day.> And now I just shuffle between 0,6,12, & 18 mg with varying amounts per day but I would say an average of 6-7 mil per day. I was a 2 -2.5 PAD of Marlboro / Pall Mall for 30+ years.
Others were very lite smokers and the scale was tipped in very much the same way. Just all over the place and there is unfortunately (at least in my mind) No possible exact set-up that is a fixed pre-filled cartridge or battery set-up that is going to be the win all for everybody... Like BLU for instance believes there is. I would agree that maybe it would be an acceptable introduction to vaping but at this point it is not the best choice because there are too many out there that have direct complaints about what BLU tries to represent as an E-Cig.
Just a gimmick to make them look more feasible !! Money-grubbers
