This was posted just outside my organization, just after I started vaping. The information doesn't make sense, but I can't pinpoint how inaccurate the information is. All I can feel is a slap in the face that I'm being singled out. There is NO ANTISMOKING PROPAGANDA anywhere in the building.

WOW! That must have been a big surprise to turn up. While I didn't spend much time in fact checking, it would seem that this is aimed at kids under 18. If that's the case, that's not a bad idea to try and keep them away from vaping...or smoking. Still, if one on my teenaged granddaughters wanted me to help them choose between the two, vaping would be a better choice. I have advised other non smokers, that pop up here with some regularity and want to start vaping, don't start. Even if they want to start with non nicotine. At 76 years old, a being of a VERY CRANKY NATURE, I'd like to see young folks stay away from it. Speaking from my own experience, I cured me of a nearly 60 year love affair with The Tobacco Monster. I've now been two years tobacco free.

When I was a kid, smoking looked really cool. Besides I always heard back then, More Doctors Smoke Camels Than Any Other Cigarette ... Heck, my Dad was a Dr and he smoked Camels. I started out stealing his before I graduated to pipes and cigars....

Just a Crank Old Mans Rant

Well yes, I'm 29, I don't want kids doing this. Our organization is 18+. That being said, it just feels like this could have been put somewhere OTHER THAN where our organization is since no one under 18 can come anyways. Just sorta pisses me off ... I get that we don't want kids using them, we want parents to be informed, but the fact that this SUDDENLY appeared is kinda like "wtf".

Ya ... here we go with the nicotine scare again.

    FACT:
There isn't a person on the planet that doesn't have nicotine in their system (it's in our food chain whether we like it or not) It was in that first bottle of Gerbers that mommy fed you.
    FACT:
Cognitive development in children would be greatly impaired without nicotine
    FACT:
The human race would be a completely different being had their not been nicotine to aid in our development. (and that goes for all living creatures)
    FACT:
Nicotine is just one of many substances that make us what we are. Eliminate any one of them and we evolve into something quite different.

Set your device to 100 watts with a 2.4Ω clearo using synthetic wicks on it and you can get the same "scientific" results [insert eye roll].

Disclaimer: Don't actually do this, it would not be pleasant.

Why isn't there a poster advising parents to restrict excessive sugar in their children's diets, especially breakfast cereals, containing 35% sugar or more, targeted specifically at children and advertised to them?

I guess a 10% type 2 diabetes rate is less concerning than what might be wrong with vaping (but too soon to know...) .....

Who placed the placards and Who Authorized Placement at an Adult Location?

Some of the information is logical.
Some information is Based on Anti-Smoking Cherry picking of Science.
Carcinogens = minimal and at level almost undetectable. Certainly much lower than walking out doors inside any City Limits.:glare:
Unknowns = Catch phrases to impart concern of DRUG abuse more than any other concern. Total Propaganda aimed at creating fear.

*Better to stay in bed than Risk breaking a leg getting up:facepalm: Fear Mongerers:grr:

Because the taxes and kickbacks are already in place. Vaping is a new frontier and many want/need their piece of the pie. Problem is you need the public to view it as a bad thing before they vote to allow you to control it, If the public really new the truth about vaping they wouldn't hand it over to the governments to abuse (a nicer word than I would like to use). I know you know all this, just a rhetorical answer to a rhetorical question....lol.

Wrong answer although what you said is all true of course.

Correct answer:. The FDA is in bed with the sugar and processed food industries and ignoring the overwhelming evidence.

Technically, according to Health Canada, e-liquids with nicotine are verboten. This is pretty much ignored by most shops in Canada that sell e-liquids.

However, because of Health Canada's stance, you do stand the risk of having e-liquids seized by customs if you are ordering from companies outside Canada.

Actually, that sounds like the two hot dogs I had for lunch today. And some recent DNA screening of hot dogs has turned up some surprising sources of ingredients. At least vaping doesn't make you think of Soylent Green.
