Several years ago I made an abortive foray into the E-cig world in attempt to drop my Camel habit. The earliest e-cigs were pretty disappointing. No real hit to speak of, really poor manufacturing, no real replacement for a heavy habit.

So a couple of weeks ago I came back to try it again. I *have* to quit, I'm so sick of being out of breath, not to mention the cost of cigs, the general nastiness, etc. I grabbed an Innokin MVP and a few different tank styles, looked up some friends who were into it, and boom off and running.

A brief aside here, I've already concluded that people who think vaping saves money are deluded in the same sick way that reloaders who think they're getting ahead with $1200 Dillon press are, but it's a noble madness.

I've spent most of free time over the last week either reading articles online, or tinkering out here in the shop. The new fecundity of this industry is absolutely amazing. Everybody makes everything, shameless design cloning, wildcatting, garage mods... the designs on everything seem to be changing overnight, and getting the specs off of anything usually involves slamming a lot of coffee and trying to decipher the worst engrish imaginable from dodgy foreign websites, it's awesome out there, I love it. I'm dating myself, but it reminds me of the early days of the paintball industry when any screwball with a lathe could have a lot of fun getting into a lot of trouble LOL.

I dunno what the experience is for the straight purchase and use consumer, but being a controls electrician by trade, and a tinkerer by nature, I couldn't be happier with the environment in the PV community right now. I thought I was just going to quit smoking, but I got a new manic hobby in the baragin. Good times. :2cool:
