So I've been using a joyetech Ego setup for just over a week now. Granted that I got into this to stop smoking, eventually, AND save money from not buying cigarettes.........LOL.......

Now that money is going to this stuff.

I started with the Vivi Nova mini tank and then a week later, got a Protank. Between using both, I found that I liked the cooler flavor of the Protank, but liked the draw of the Nova.

Then I read about using cheesecloth in the Protank and WOW, a huge difference for the better, unfortunately, I still keep going back to the Nova. I then replaced the wick on the Nova with cheesecloth, and that made a world of difference.

Then I started reading more about the rebuildable units and already have a short list of RBA's that I will be ordering soon.

Being an electronics tech, I've always liked tinkering with electronics in my spare time and this will be another pet that will take up time that I probably should be using for the "to-do" list that keeps getting longer. (I have to admit though, the usage of the term "Ohms" is kind of annoying, but I can live it...lol.)

So to sum it up, it's going to be a potentially never ending search for the perfect vaping system!

I've been able to stay away from the high end Mods so far. Got a vamo from fasttech 28.00. Got a KTS on the way. Paid 19.00 for a pro tank. Have a IGO-L. Got a AGA-T2 on the way. My biggest order at one time has been 41.00. Not bad for buying for both my son and me. I did buy a mini lavatube v1 kit from a store for 45.00. Seeing where others have spent thousands make me feel better about my spending.

Oh-ya, it can cost up the gazoo to get started. After a while you figure out what you like and it levels off, and in the end you can vape for pennies a day if you want to.
The price of a quality PV spread out over a couple of years is only about 25 cents/day. So all the pain is up front, after you have some nice equipment the cost drops to zilch.

At this point I *could* vape for about 5 cents/day ........... if I wanted to.

Stay disciplined and use tanks and tank cartos. DIY your own juice, build yourself a 4AAA ecig battery pack, and you can vape with the best for about $10 a week. All very easy to find and do. I've been spending $50 a month and have built quite a surplus. Replacement costs are cheap as well. Rechargeable AAA batts are cheap and found most everywhere. In the past year, I had to replace the button on my mod once. It cost me $2.99.

cigs cannot be resold.. mods and parts can be resold.. depending on what you buy... its more of an investment if you really think about it..

Sorta but its a beanybabby market sooner or later they wont be worth the silly prices and a used mod with scratches that can be easily buffed out will be worth 40% of retail like it should be.

Slap a mesh wick in that Vivi Nova and get a genisis style vape for next to nothing. I almost threw my VVN in the trash but glad I kept it to experiment with.

Doing the cheesecloth mod to a 2.8 coil made a HUGE difference in flavor on this nova tank. I may try that with a 2.4 coil. I suspect the flavor will be more intense based on how it affected the 2.8 coil.

As far as the rba's, what is attracting me is the appearances of them. They just look very classy.

once you get a couple of nice RBA's that kick it out the way you like, it becomes mostly just looking, maybe playing with a new one, once in a while, or to try a newer version of something, but disposable costs drop to almost nothing. an then learn DIY juice and you will be amazed what you have/can save VS buying cigs. it only gets out of hand if you fall into the traps and convince yourself its a hobby first, and let yourself get sucked up by the collector mentality.

but on a side note for someone who has the urges the best place to be is in the classified section, see something nice? get it. dont like it? resell it. this way i have gotten to sample more high end gear then i can recall and not be stuck with it once i realized i wanted something else. almost 2 years later now its ooooh that looks nice, but meh if the reviews rock maybe ill try one.
