This is so embarrassing - Ody troubles

But I gotta ask. I was using the Ody in full CE2 mode with the GGTS base. I decided to make a wick, but damned if I can get the atomizer insert and the base apart! I can turn it counter clockwise for a few turns but that's it. I even made hubby give it a go in case I was just a weakling. No go.

Any of you have some ideas on how to get these apart without damaging this baby?

I use a rubber jar opener thingie. It's just a soft rubber pad that's used to get a better grip on jars. Most kitchen stores have them for a couple bucks. The petroleum jelly things works well because it eliminates (actually reduces) metal to metal friction between the threads. Not so important on SS because it's so hard but on the old Aluminum GG's it kept from wearing out the threads from constant threading/un-threading.
