Nice job!
Since bottom cap is only place getting scratched up, I put a small scotch tape (transparent) on the bottom cap. You can't tell its there and it definitely avoid getting scratches. :2c:

Cut a small windscreen tinted or wet screen protector for phones work really great too!!!

Nothing special really about brass Jeff, in fact it's easier than SS as it's so much softer. I recommend you use the same white compound and a new wheel as brass residue is left on the wheel so you don't want to mix a brass wheel with an SS wheel. Use a little less pressure when you polish the brass Just and you'll do a great job
