This might be a dumb question

So a couple of weeks ago a few of my batteries had their wrappers get ripped. I ordered some clear wraps so I could whip up some custom graphics and get them back in service stylishly, which is what I just did about an hour ago.

However this process made them just a bit thicker than normal and when I went to pull it out of my noisy cricket, it pulled out the insulating sleeve along with it. Now, without the sleeve it fits fine but should I be worried about safety? I think not as long as I'm assiduous about checking for rips in the wrappers, but I wanted to run it past you guys first and make sure I'm not doing something really dumb.

IMO, its probably ok as long as you're diligent about checking your battery wrappers. This is the first time I've seen an insulating sleeve in a mech. Cool idea from Wismec.

If your nervous you could always get something round wrap it with sand paper and sand the inside of the sleeve out enough to make the battery slide in and out better.

Some 18650 battery heat shrink wraps will help out.

I wrap some of my Sony batteries and used a heat Gun.

Noisy Cricket, Dual Battery - Quasi-Hybrid - Mechanical(no safeties built in)

If Running as a Positive Switch, the hazard is increased. Case short = dead short
If running as a negative switch - hazard is increased = Case short = auto fire
