Now is not the ideal time to buy an MVP v.2. The new one is out and the old ones will be phased out and sold off (presumably) at reduced prices.
The old one was good, sure, but there was one problem... the 510 connection. The new one has a spring loaded pin, which should solve that annoyance...
I know where I'd spend my money. :)

Somewhere out there
It looks like the new 20W version is available already, and around the same price point as the MVP2

Vapor Beast seems to have them in stock for $39.95 http://www.vaporbeast.com/innokin-itaste-mvp-20-watt.html

The only thing I don't like about the MVP2 is the size. The istick is a lot more comfortable to hold. If you don't mind the size, I don't think you would go wrong with either the V2 or the 20W.

Welcome Laura :)

The MVP will work virtually the exact same way as the VV3. Minor difference is how to change watts or volts, but all other functions are identical. MVP has about 3 times the battery life. It is bulkier than the VV3 (I have 3 of each.) MVP is my "commuting" mod, and I have a couple of others I use more often at home or at work.

What kind of toppers are you using? The 11W max was pretty much what prompted me to get some new mods this fall. Other than that - love the MVP, and still use it often.

I've become pretty loyal to Innokin products. I've got a VTR, an MVP2 and I recently got the new MVP20W. I love my MVP2 and my MVP20W. I would wait for the price to go down on the MVP20W. In my opinion it outperforms the VTR which is far more expensive. The MVP20W kept what worked with the MVP2 and fixed the stuff that didn't work. From what I've seen the iStick just can't compete with it.

You didn't really say what you'll be wanting to use on top of it, which I think will play the more important role. I actually picked up another MVP2 the other day, mostly because I could get it for $10 cheaper, none of the things I use it for while out and about really need the extra 2V, and it's likely to be a good daytime mod for 6mo-1year. It was $10 I could put towards building my hug machine while the tech transitions, though that floating 510 could solve some issues if you're not careful about over-tightening or don't have some $0.05 adapters.

I'd go with the MVP 20 solely for the 510 and upgraded chip. My Aerotank V2 works fine on the MVP 2 but looks stupid with the beauty ring. Even if I had a bunch of ego tanks I'd still go with the 20W because with the adapter they'd look the same as they do on the MVP 2 and at the same time the 510 tanks sit flush. I'm debating this mod for my Aerotanks because they don't need more 20W. Then again, why not spend $10 more for a nice small 30W device that can fire the Aerotanks and the Atlantis? Starting to ramble so I'll stop.
