It's a mess. Similar in WA state but at least you can still
vape in parks and on the sidewalk most places as far as I know.

Vaping has been banned in parks in King Co for years. Pierce Co banned in public parks/venues a few years ago. I can't speak to Eastern WA. I left a concert at an outdoor venue 2 years ago because you could only vape in a tiny corner with smokers. This is an outdoor park which is ridiculous to me. Especially since some other things were common and they didn't do much to police that.
They were selling alcohol big time and you could drink that during the concert, wherever you wanted, strange priorities imo.
ETA, this thread made me realize that in almost 7 years of vaping, I can't remember ever going inside a vape shop. I started when there were no shops, bought everything online and never saw a reason to change that for more pricier local stuff. I did attend some vape meets organized by local vape shops and found the owners a bit rude and definitely geared toward younger crowd. One owner looked at me like I shouldn't be there at my age when I asked her a question. Another vape meet, I actually got several expensive donations for the meet and another young shop owner lumped hundreds of dollars worth of the donations together and raffled them off as though she dismissed them completely in favor of the latest/greatest/hipster mods and supplies. Last time I ever sought donations for a vape meet.
