Tipsynoodle,
Please dont feel bad, most of us have done exactly what you did. I know I did. I stopped smoking cold turkey and three days later, I was ready to kill for a smoke. Hubby bought me an electronic cigarette at a local convenient store. It was a Century 21 or 21 century...either way, it sucked. It did do what it was supposed to do though, and that was get me from wanting a smoke. It came with these cheap cartridges that you could barely taste anything from, even from dragging on it until I thought my brain would explode.
I went to Tyler Texas the next day (live in Missouri) and stopped at a local store there. They sold what I have now, but didnt inform me well about the whole vaping thing. Needless to say, they lost out on a major sale because I was afraid if I got home and couldnt buy juice locally, I would be lost (I cant drive to Texas everytime I needed juice...lol). I came home and stuck with the Century thing. I vaped it for a few weeks, until I found a local store here that sold what I have now. I paid a fortune for it though. They have good stuff, just expensive.
I wish I would have found this forum before I bought anything! I now have a Joye 510 (not to be confused with the NJoy). Its about the size of a cigarette. I have it in pink. Its a three piece. The battery, the atomizer that heats the liquid to vape, and the cartridge which is where the juice goes.
You can buy juice locally (if you can find a local supplier) or over the internet. I buy over the internet and it takes 2 days for it to hit my house. There is so much out there to learn and I am still learning. I've been vaping for about 3 months and absolutely love it. I have never wanted another cigarette since I got my first e-cig or pv, as they are called.
I would recommend reading all that you can about vaping. I spend so much time here, reading and replying...and still asking questions. Please feel free to contact me personally, should you have any questions. Us, as vapers, usually love to tell their story and share their information with you. You'll get quick replies here, everyone is very helpful.
