I WANT to quit smoking..not just for me, but for the ones I love. A friend told me about "vaping" and sent me some links to different companys. I am still confused as to what to buy. I have smoked Marlboro Lights for about 3 years..I'm only a half a pack a day smoker, so not to bad, but I HATE the smell. I have tried quitting altogether with The "Patch" but that did not work, I found I was allergic to the patch and still two years later have marks on both arms from them. I tried "Chantix" but had terrible
nightmares and little or no sleep so that did not last long. I would really like to give this a try, but not sure where or what to order. I do not care for the "cig" looking e-smokes I would like more of the "inhaler" type. I saw the one on the "Janty site" JANTY STICK V3 SET IPOD WHITE would this :-x (would not let me post link) info follows:The JANTY™ Stick V3 set contains:
1 x Stick Body V3 improved
2 x SPECIAL E-cig rechargeable batteries 320 Mah Protected (not AAA battery!!!)
1 x Classic Atomizer (JANTY original classic atomizer under warranty)
1 x Stick dedicated USB-E cable 0.75 cm or 1.50 cm (according to availability) for charging and vaping through USB port computer, power outlet or car
5 x Free classic cartridges
1 x Manual

be all I need? I am so confused, but really want to give this a try. LMAO Can someone just put together an order for me?
TIA,
Mary

Given that you're not looking for cig style that would be a great device for you. You would need to also buy some eliquid along with that. You could get some right at Janty - I've always enjoyed their eliquids. And you could sample other ejuices later.

I have on in the black matte finish - and the finish is really nice in that it feels like rubber.

Adding an extra atomizer would be a good idea.

It's nice to have power adapters and you can get some good ones here:

For wall - best to use this rather than your computers usb port:
AC to USB Adapter 1000mA

For car:
Car DC to USB Adapter 1000mA

I have similar devices and keep them on the cable until I'm ready to go, that way you always go away with the full charge of the battery. Also charge up the extra battery and take that with you, if you're going to be out longer than 4-5 hours.

You could also pick up some ejuice at cignot.com. Suggest getting some Ecopure rich or fresh or both. You can add a few drops to your other ejuices to add more vapor. Use Rich for tobacco flavors and Fresh for other flavors.

Cool! Thanx ev1. Still cpl more questions....so I need to order the e-liquid which is the nicotine ..correct? Then flavorings to mix? Also more atomizers and filters?

Thanks for taking the time to answer.

Hi and welcome! I was probably more clueless than you when I first started vaping - I didn't find the forum til after I'd ordered (and ordered the wrong thing, at that). Don't get a Blu kit.

The liquid is the nicotine, and since you're a light smoker I'd say you probably shouldn't go with anything stronger than 12mg to 16mg, otherwise the flavour might bother your mouth/throat. Nothing major, but there's a slight burning. Getting extra attys is NEVER a bad a idea. They go out randomly. Having extra is key. Same with cartridges (aka filters).

Once I figured out what I liked and didn't like about the Blu kit I had, I bought a 402 starter kit from litecigusa.net. From there, I've tried out 401s, 510s and 520s.

Has anyone gone over the difference between a manual and an automatic battery with you yet?

Yes, the e-liquid contains nicotine and the strength or concentration of the nicotine is given in mg/ml. Higher numbers mean more strength and visa versa. I would recommend getting a mix of flavors and strengths in small bottles. Finding the right combo in strength and flavor that works for YOU is really the toughest part. (Not really that tough.) The e-liquid also contains flavoring.

Yes, you would need at least 1 more atomizer and a few blank carts. The carts go on the atomizer. The liquid goes in the carts. The cart is also the mouth piece. (I can see how some would call it a filter, but it does not have any filtering properties.)

All questions are good.

Now, have some fun!

Many people get their first liquid too low in nicotine strength and get frustrated. I would suggest getting a little higher, because you can always make it less strong if you need to but you can't make it stronger. I would suggest 18 or 24 mg strength to start out. Many people regularly use 36mg strength liquid.

Good Luck

I am kinda new but had a lot of support from the beginning. The 510's are extremely popular because they are small, give great vapor, and they are usually less expensive then some of the others. I would highly recommend them for a newbie! Just make sure you get the original JOYE510, not the JSB or other knockoffs. The others can't compare to the original as I have owned the others and now only use the original. The others can't produce vapor nearly as well or as consistent as the original JOYE510. Also, keep in mind there is a learning curve with ecigs. Automatic batteries may seem cool at first, but you will probably replace them with manuals shortly after you start. If you would like a good place to start with a ton of support and great customer service, I would have to recommend awesomevapor.com . It is a family owned business and Arno ( the owner/father/husband/brother ) is great at helping newcomers! His service is second to none. Check him out, I do not think you will be disappointed. Last but not least, GOOD LUCK!! CHUCK THOSE ANALOGS AND NEVER LOOK BACK!!!! :)
