Howdy all! I haven't been vaping for long, but it took about 10 minutes to know I like it better than smoking Analog Cigarettes. My mom got me the VP I'm using now, I'm not really sure what model it is, it came in a Convenience store Starter Kit in Greenish packaging, looks like a cigarette, and has some interesting behavior. I stumbled across this website a few weeks ago when I got my first ecig/PV, and since then i've been trying to gather all the information I can. I've ordered about 45 mg of various e liquid from Goodejuice.com, which I'm REALLY hoping gets here today, since I'm at about 30% capacity on my last Cartridge/Atomizer/whatever.

Anyways, I'm really loving the helpful community, can't stand the taste or (especially) the inconvenience of Analogs anymore, and feeling great about my decision to switch. There's nothing better than taking a long drag in my Boss's office and watching all the smoke just disappear.

I do need a little bit of guidance, however, there's a lot to learn and a few of the minor details haven't been touched. I plan on ordering a new VP soon, as I'd like something a little higher in quality. I'm down to either the M401 Or the Joye510. However, I have about 15 Atomizers that I'd like to keep using (as well as the added convenience of being able to buy them down the street from my house) and I'm not sure about the compatibility. Mind you, they're nothing special, pretty generic I think, but I'm not sure how Universal these things are. Atomizers.jpg

Could I use those with either of the Models I listed? And If so, since I have already have a charger and some atomizers, could I get away with simply buying the "Battery" part of the M401 or Joye510?

And as for a bonus question, does anyone know what color the tips glow on the M401 or Joye510? if either of them is green, that's my swing vote :p

Thank you guys for being so helpful and patient with the newbloods, I really appreciate the help :)

Hi :)

Totally confused by the pic you posted because it looks like both parts are male (not that there's anything wrong with that - JK), so how do they fit together? Am I just looking at it wrong?

BTW: it's virtually impossible to tell what kind you have without knowing a brand name since many of them look nearly the same or are totally identical but still not compatible.

It's generally recommended to buy a whole new kit anyway because you'll need the spare parts and charger etc.....

You mean you have a bunch of cartomizers? From what model? Male prefilled cartos might be RN4081. Or they could be Blu L88b cartos. or possibly Joye 306 cartos. It is unlikely they are 510 cartos but either of the last two I listed will fit anything with 510 threading. If RN4081 they would need a 510 to 4081 adapter to be used on a battery with 510 threading.

I do not understand what you are thinking of buying? Don't buy a 401. 401 has tiny little juice cups - not the size of the "filter" - much much smaller stuck down inside the filter. Pain the A to refill and there is almost nothing available for 401. Only buy a 401 if you only care about looks and you are a masochist. I started on M401 - actually has nice flavor and looks nice but that is it. It kept me happy for exactly 3 weeks.

If you want a small ecig buy a MANUAL Joye-brand 510 (Cignot.com has a good no-box price). But be aware the battery life is short with any small batteries (180mah is about 2 hours, less if vaped heavily). There are very nice Boge cartomizers (blanks, standard resistance) for 510. And a very nice PCC at NoSMokeVA.com. If you want some longer charge batteries try the manual Joye 510 mega xl ones for 60% more charge (but they won't fit in the nice PCC - their PCC is a less roomy metal one).

As others have mentioned, if you want a PV that will perform better, then at a minumum, pick up an eGo or Riva manual battery 510 (size of a slim cigar). If you want to move up to the truely better performing devices, then look at a good 5 volt PV such as the GLV2 or better yet, a good variable volt PV, such as the Darwin or Provari.

Oh wow, thanks for your great replies everyone. Sorry I couldn't get back to post sooner, there were a few tornadoes that landed near my town last night so I spent the night on damage control (And then Dragon Age 2... More addictive than nicotine, especially now that I can SMOKE IN THE HOUSE WHILE PLAYING! Woo!). The picture is of two male cartridges I'd like to use with whatever battery I get, since I really don't want to wait 3-5 business days every time I run out of working atomizers, and those I know I can buy down the street.

From Dormouse's post I'm assuming a Joye 510 is my best bet (Manual, of course!). I'll see if I can find a brand name for the Cartos once I can step out of the office and find the boxes. I'm not quite ready to make the plunge into the more exotic looking VPs, I'm still relying on tricking my brain into thinking I'm smoking an Analog. I'm glad to know there's a Vapor Kings store in Tulsa, I'll have to check that out soon.

This place is great :)

Okay, so I went and checked to box for the atomizers to see if there was a model number, there is none. It's a white box that says "Disposable Atomizer," with the flavor and strength printed on the side. I'm pretty sure that's as generic as it gets, and I'm probably not getting the best quality out of it anyhow. I suppose I'll bite the bullet and get a full kit with some extra cartos when I get the money, and save these for use with my back-up battery.

Unless you are extremely lucky, what you can get on-line is less than half the price and more than twice the quality of what you can get down the street. That's why I've never seen anyone on here do what you are trying to do. Also even those cartomizers can be refilled but, they aren't made to make it easy. So, if you really intend to do what you are talking about, don't toss them.
