Xanthos, cool name btw, welcome

My advice to you at this point would to go with a supplier close to you. As you are in Singapore, that would be heavens gifts 2007.

I'm going to depart from that because of the problems at the moment shipping out of China.

In a nutshell, no liquid products can be shipped from China until the olmpics are over, and that includes cartridges, the same applies to batteries.

China would be your cheapest shipping option, but seeing as that is out of the question, you need to look at a historically good shipping link ... The UK.

There are two good suppliers in the UK, Smokester, Simon, a forum member and regular poster. and Jason Cropper, who is pillbox38 on ebay and the electronic cigarette company.

General consensus is the Simon is a bit cheaper overall Electronic Cigarette | Free Yourself... | e-cigs Welcome But the choice is yours to make.

Which ever you decide on, I suggest you go for the DSE901, that's the mini size, not the super mini.

And ask the question ... Which cartridges am I getting with this ... The tiny interim size ones or the new larger sized ones. There is a difference, size does matter. You do not want the interim sized, they are too small.

My normal order from a new company always includes two spare atomizers and two spare batteries to cover myself when they fail.

that's my advice, go with one of the two out of the UK to begin with. buy the DSE901, I don't think you'll regret the purchase.

If you haven't worked out the links, or got them already, let me know and I'll post the all, OK ?

I am also new to E-Smoking and this board.
As a matter of fact this is my very first post.

I've been reading and lurking for the last couple of weeks and ended up buying the mini from Myecig.com, which I believe is a DSE901.

I'm super happy with Benny's service.....err.....Meltrex, and the cig is really great, but I have to tell you that I've just ordered a KissBox Classic.

I'm a pack a day smoker for about 37 years and I get up start smoking, go to work, have a twenty minute break every hour, and go home.
I smoke one cig every break and on rare occasions two. That's only about 6 to 8 cigs a shift plus maybe 5 to 7 before work.

Buy the time I'm done work I have two dead or dying batteries and have gone through at least 4 cartridges.
So, on the way home from work, I had to buy a pack of smokes to make it through the night.
One of the batteries died after the second day and acted funny...(hard to hit) since the beginning.
Meltrex Immediately responded to my e-mail and said he's sending a new one which should be here any day. Cudo's to you Benny!

I'm very happy with E-smoking and know it's gonna be the wave of the future and I also believe it will help me to quit smoking altogether, but, if you intend to replace cigarettes buy full time E-smoking, I strongly suggest you invest in a good PenStyle.

I spent about 2 hundred US on the KissBox Kit only because I'm getting the 4th batch, and it comes with the USB and Car adaptor + carrying case. I also invested in spare Atomizer just because I know it's only a matter of time before I'll need it and I don't want to be without for work.

I plan on buying another PenStyle from Meltrex in the not too distant future and I hope that the cartridges from Janty will fit his model also....(they are pretty cheap) and offer the "HD" option which I'm told last from 1 and a half to 2 times as long as the regulars do.

I've also ordered some juice from Jane at E-cig-sales.com

The reason I purchased from these vendors is because of their reputations here on this board.

I can tell you whole heartedly that they are well deserved as the responses to questions, and orders, or even problems, have been met buy all three companies with lightening speed.

I salute Benny, Jane, and Jeff from Myecig.com, E-Cig-Sales.com, and Jantyusa.com, they are the cream of the crop!

The DSE901 is a great Mini.....but, it's a Mini, and in my opinion, and the little experience that I've got......
You need a PenStyle if your serious about replacing a pack and a half a day habit.

Hell, I know I need one or two + my Mini, and I only smoke a pack a day.

A big thank you to everyone for the warm advices. I've decided to give 901 the go as a trial for myself. If it can keep me going for 2 weeks without a cigarette or a significant cut in the amount i smoke, i'll invest alot more on a penstyle.

From what i read here, it seems like JANTY has the best penstyle, especially the KISSBOXES.

I was having a smoke about 10 mins ago, and i realise what kinda craving other den nicotine that i have. I realise that feeling the smoke at the back of my throat is very important. From one of Kit's post, i understand that the vanilla works really well hitting the back of the throat hard.

Guess i'll order a few carts of vanilla for a try.

Thanks all, i believe i'll be a regular here and let's hope i will be an avid e-smoker in a week's time!

Hey Kit and spider, lets cool it with the how many fags we've sucked on yack for either pm's or another thread, sure it's nice for a new member to see we really do care about each others health and wellbeing, but maybe it needs to be in a thread of it's own.

My feeling a newcomer to the forum should be able to expect to be given the guidance they are looking for in a thread they have posted, not a degeneration into a gossip line they have to wade through to get to the goods bits.

I hope you agree and don't take this as personal, it's not meant to be, we love you both :)

hi Xanthos,

I'm glad you decided to try vanilla, I'm a menthol smoker and don't like the menthol carts at all! It wasn't until i swapped to Vanilla that i got the feeling I wanted. Everyone is different I know but I almost failed cos I hated the menthol carts!
Good luck
Yeah the vanilla defiantly do the job:thumb:

Mate, all I'm saying is lets not make it more difficult for a new comer to nagivate to the best advice than it should be, nothing personal. I actually feel bad posting this here, I'd rather it was by PM or in another hread on it's own, so xanthos didn't have to read it and then bypass it to get to better info. Another thread would be cool, PM would be cool.

All I'm saying is that it should be as easy as possible for xanthos to get the great advice we can offer, not have to read about how much we care about each other in a bit of a banter addition to the thread.

but to xanthos, we all really do care about each other on this forum, sure we can sometimes have tantrums, but the over riding tenant is we do care about each other, it's a bit like a family. you are welcome to come and join us. Oh and don't forget we really really do want to know how you get on with your new e-mister, BTW I like to call them e-misters and the vapour that you create as mist :) others don't like, but i don't care, I like it :)

Hey MNZ,

I'm perfectly cool with their random chat on my thread. I'm a veteran in forums so it's not actually hard for me to navigate through the chats. But thanks alot for caring. This forum really has great people.

Kit and Spider (sorry, i typed .... cause i was reading Kit's post about ..... LOL) has being a great help. I should have just posted this thread at the very beginning instead of trying to choose myself for the past 1 day. I made my decision within an hour of their replies.

I'm about to place my order now, i just got home like 5 mins ago and i can't wait. I'll be having 60 carts and the last 2 things im thinking about is to get the 901B or 901 and how many vanilla and menthol i should be getting.

I heard the menthol is sweet and taste nothing like the real menthol and i hate sweet stuffs. Hmmm...

OK xanthos, some home truths about being in country where you have to import everything you use just like I have to now.

look for the best deal you can, its not the price you pay that is advertised that looks really attractive ... add in the cost of shiping,

There is no point in buying 1 pack of carts or bottle of juice at $X when the shipping for 5 bottles is the same shipping cost. Talk to the supplier and work out the best shipping deal you can.

Then ask us if what you want to ship is really worth it. At some time or another, at least one of us has bought from just about every supplier on the planet.

Thanks MNZ! I'm stuck at the checkout part now as the total amount ended up to be about SGD$210. I'll talk in pounds from now on.

Here's what i'm ordering.

1x DSE901 Mini e-cig Starter Pack
1x 50 Mini e-cig Cartridges
1x Atomiser
Subtotal £59.49 GBP
Shipping £14.99
Total £74.48

Is it worth? 75 pounds is almost 3 weeks worth of cigarettes for me. and i doubt 50 carts can last me 2 weeks.

DevilFish: Ruyan will slap a competitor silly if the Ruyan or Janty name is used where it shouldn't be. If you want one, you'll buy from them. And once you do, their support is first-rate.

They are indeed the top-of-the-line in e-smoking, but consider the cost of a full Janty KISSBox unit. For about $160, you get TWO complete e-cigarettes -- one automatic and one manual. Two batteries. Multiple cartridges. Two atomizers. USB cable for your computer, with its own battery. Car charger. And whatever else Santa's elves feel like tossing your way at the time of purchase.

Your Janty, which will blow the socks off cheap imitators, is thus $80 per e-cig. Isn't that what many other pen style e-cigs sell for? And if you buy something else, because it's "cheaper", you're warned to buy lots of extra parts so your single e-cig will keep functioning. You don't do that with Janty; should a part fail, they promptly replace it. That's been the experience of many forum members here. Everything fails .. what follows is really important to you as a consumer.

If you look at it this way, the Janty is not so expensive after all. If you value quality and put a price on your frustrations, it looks to be even a better deal. Plus, they are great folks to deal with. I highly recommend them (written as I exhale a cloud of vapor from a black Janty).
