Thrilled to be here, need advice/feedback

Hi all,

So I have been a smoker for a long time gone cold turkey couple of times never lasts long, bought a disposable Blu e-cig thingy, instead of my regular pack 2 days ago and feels like my world has changed. Might sound dumb, but I feel better maybe placebo effect we shall see in time. Urge to go outside and smoke is diminishing quickly, haven't smoked a regular cigarette in almost 2 days now. (of course it ain't much, but a start)

So... I consider myself resourceful person, but I like many others need guidance too.

I am considering purchasing these
ProVari Variable Voltage Ecig: Best Variable Voltage E Cig Available!

Cinnamon Roll E Juice Baker Vapor - Mt Baker Vapor - Electronic Cigarettes

but not sure about the rest
IBTanked - Get Tanked With Us!

Am I on the right track? Am I moving to fast?

What else do I need to get started any advice is welcomed!

I am a nerd by nature and love new hardware lol (build computers and PC gamer)

So this sounds right up my alley.

Hope to hear from you guys/gals soon, have a good one.

Hello there & welcome! Having purchased all of the items you mentioned ill start with the juice. Cinnamon roll is one of my favs!! Keep in mind that they mix upon order so the juice will need to steep but its delicious!! Also make sure you order small sizes of several juices. Everyones tastes are different & many of us dont like to vape the same thing all day. Next IBTanked...check out Baditudes blogs on cartotanks. It's what really helped me since there is a slight learning curve when it comes to priming cartos. But it is a great product! On the downside since they are also made to order...I think...unless you order the plain glass you'll probably get this item last if you order them all at the same time. You'll also want to order more than one so that you can have different flavors going at the same time.

Lastly, the Provari...you will see much debate about this item. Do I consider this my best purchase since I started vaping...absolutely! But it's hard to tell you if you should order it after only vaping for a couple of days. Do I doubt you will like it? No. But are you planning on vaping to eventually quit altogether? Many will tell you to start with something like a ego twist or a Vamo. I second that too as it is an investment. Personally I wish I'd skipped the twists as the difference between them & my other VV devices were drastic!! But vaping for me is something that I don't plan to quit & the Provari was an investment in my vaping future. I've seen others order the Provari first with great success & no regrets. With that said it sounds like you've done the research & have made your decision!

Not only are everyones tastes different but your taste buds themselves are about to under go some serious changes as they recover from smoking. What is good today may be wrong tomorrow so do get several flavors to start. Read the reviews and take them into consideration as well. Chimney is right about steeping so don't be gutted if the first go with a flavor is not what your looking for. Put it in a cabinet and forget it for a week or two then try again. There are some flavors that are good to go sooner than others by the way. Cinnamon roll is one of them. If your wondering about a flavor ask in the big Mt. Baker thread in general e-liquid. Odds are good someone will have information.

Wonderful advice.

But are you planning on vaping to eventually quit altogether?

I had heard about e-cigs 2007/2008 dunno saw them at a kiosk at mall. Always curious, but never sure if they were safe. Fast forward to present day and I am looking for a safer/less invasive alternative to cigarettes. Having to get up to smoke outside (I hate smoking indoors) completely disrupts my workflow. My initial intentions were for an alternative, but if this leads to cutting down/quitting then that would be welcomed. Already I feel that my urges to smoke have minimized a couple of puffs here and there do the trick. (Instead of a full cigarette every time I got up to smoke)

Thanks for help!

I myself just joined yesterday and have only been vaping for about a month and I jumped for a Provari mini as I wanted something of high quality, built to last, and after learning about it's digital capabilities I was sold. Great on the go and at home. Love the ohm reader on it...has really helped me learn what volts I like to vape at.

I'm lucky and have several vape shops locally who are very helpful and informative.
Looking forward to learning extensively here on the forum.

As Chimney34 has said maybe a good idea to go a little slower. Provari is a GREAT PV having owned one in the past but you may want something smaller for out and about. This "out and about" PV could also be your backup cuz you never know when your PV will take a dive and need repairs.

Thanks for the insight.

Provari used in public would get some looks mostly bad. Provari will be for home use mostly.

But I wouldn't mind taking it outside once in a while. :)

Vapoor if you don't mind me asking. What are you using for "out and about" currently?

Or perhaps cigalike suggestion.

Thanks!

And THAT is the right attitude to have too, IMHO! Friends of mine have asked me, since I finally quit smoking when am I going to quit vaping too? I tell them I quit smoking, after 25+ years but I did not entirely give up my nicotine. I may quit vaping one day... my nicotine level has dropped to more than half of what I quit smoking with... but if that day doesn't come for another 25 years I won't be upset!

I had to chime in... MBV's Cinnamon Roll is one of my all time favorites too! And I'm not even much of a fan of sweets in the food varieties. Usually Cinnamon Roll in the morning and then their White Out goes with me all afternoon.

Can't speak to carto tanks myself... never used em!

Congrats on finding the smartest "alternative" and welcome to ECF!

You're welcome. It's not so much about the looks but just too large to be hauling around. When I took mine for a "walk" I was always terrified 8-o I'd lose it.

The problem with such a fine PV as the VV Provari a cig sized PV would be lacking "hit wise". I use my Vamo at home or on long drives and while out and about either my VV Spinner or Twist.

If you're getting a Provari + Cinnamon roll eJuice, then I recommend...

o Boge F16 or SmokTech DCT tank (5-6ml)
o Single coil, 2-hold laser pre-punched cartomizers
o Refiller drip tip
o 2 batteries (18650 for Provari, 18350 for Provari mini)
o Battery charger

Check out SureVapes.com for the accessories. I'd get the batteries from ProVape.com. Cheers & happy vaping!

I use my provari in public everyday with no problems, usually curious rather than bad looks but then again I live in LA and I could care less what people think lol

Morning! Yep that's the one I was talking about! He also has one that lists places to buy prepunched carts as well. And stay far far away from the mall kiosk! Lol!

Also I carry my Provari with me everywhere. So it really is personal preference. But I keep it close at all times because I'd freak if I lost it! And thats also another good reason to have a relatively cheap backup as well! Also don't forget to grab you some extra cartos if you're going to buy the cartotanks!!

Welcome to Vapeland!!!

I found very useful a couple of local vendor down here in Santo Domingo where I can go, comfortably sit in a couch and try over 100+ flavors before making my mind. That helped a lot in my quest for the flavor, throat hit and Nic%. Ordering online is way chipper, but I saved a lot of money since I didn't have to get samples from here and there, just to find out what I like. If you can get yourself one of this stores, get there and you'll be thankful to them.

Enjoy around and have a nice Vape!!
