So I've got several liquids that I absolutely love but they are 16-18 mgs of nicotine. So I asked in another part of this forum about how to reduce these so I can use them up(I'm currently vaping 6-8 mgs). I was told to mix 0's in those flavors to get them down. So I went to my local vape shop to purchase. My absolute favorite, Space Jams Galactica, they only had a 6 so I got it, mixed it half and half and went WHOA!!! I felt light headed and the throat hit was AWFUL!! So gurus...how should I mix this stuff?

There's a fairly decent online calculator that will do the work for you. It can be found DIY E-Liquid Combining Calculator
If you mixed them a 50/50 then you were vaping 12mg. If you are looking for around 8mg, then you will need to mix at about a 5:1 ratio with 6 making up the majority of the e-liquid.
If you wanted to, you could get plain VG or PG from either an online vendor or get some VG from a local pharmacy and mix this into the higher strength e-liquids. You can use the calculator above, just put the VG as 0 nic and it will calculate correctly. If you want 6mg and are using no nic VG, diluting the 18mg e-liquid, it will be 3:1 ratio of VG to 18mg liquid.
Doing this will change the flavor of the liquid though, making it weaker.

You're going to dilute your flavor by mixing. The only proportionate way is to buy the same flavor juice with zero nic, then mix. Not sure what you'll be accomplishing though. May as well just throw the 16-18mgs out and just get 6mg.

I don't understand the "what lack of nicotine does to throat hit"? Is that a good thing or a bad thing? The throat hit on my 6-8mgs are perfect! No irritation. That 16 mixed with 6 yesterday was awful! My throat felt like I was swallowing ground glass.
I misread. I took this, "the throat hit was AWFUL!!" to mean it wasn't enough. A common complaint here with low nicotine e-liquid.
The TH with the 6mg is perfect for me. Not too strong...just enough to let me know it's there. Ive come along way from the 24mg I started with back in July.
And the VG I have is at least 10 years old so I'm not going to use it for something like this. I'll keep using it to make laundry detergent! Lol
