Two quick questions about hmm, throat impact/hit.

1. What amount in the pg/vg percentage makes a difference to this - would 10 or 20 percent more vg make a noticable difference to throat hit?

I know vg lowers throat hit, but id like to know how what kind of difference it can make, because my juices are in a fixed ratio (70/30), and perhaps I can just add a little vg, or mix with a higher vg juice?...(to bring it too like 60/40, or even 50/50..). Would that make a notable difference?

2. Does flavour have much of an impact to throat harshness/hit, like for example do tobacco flavours tend impact some pepperiness/spiceness/dryness etc? (Kinda seems like they might)

Im using atm all sweet tobacco flavours, and it occurs to me, just now, that might not be the best all the time approach, if non-tobacco flavours are milder on the throat/palette at all..(Plus it would be less like smoking, which might be a plus, even though I am no fan of overly sweet, I am sure theres decent alternatives)

Still pretty new to vaping really, and trying to find a slightly softer throat impact (dont want to lower my nic yet either).

I have already found alternating inhale method helps. And of course lots of water. But if I could tweak it a little bit further, that would help me enjoy my experience with vaping, and stick to it better.

Cheers for any help you can offer! :)

All other things being equal, higher nic strength and higher pg ratio equal higher TH. 10% pg/vg ratio make a difference? Yes, but fairly slight. You can add pure vg to a juice to change the ratio, but keep in mind you also will be diluting the flavor and lowering the nic. When ordering a juice with pg/vg ratio options, choose higher vg if you want a softer throat hit.

Often but not always, some flavors do tend to produce more TH, including some tobaccos, citrus, cinnimon, mint, and menthol. Other things to consider with TH are how hot you vape at, and what your juice delivery system is. For example, a 901 atomizer has less TH than a 510 atomizer.

Thanks jerms, thats all very helpful :)

I am not needing a huge change in throat hit. Just a bit of a reduction.

Ive noticed certain kinds of cartos are softer/cooler, and certain kinds are warmer/harder, already.

I guess ill need to experiment a little, but its very helpful to have the opinions of those more experience.
