throat hit

I was wondering if I go down to 6 or 0 nic with a 70-30 or 80/20 mix will I still get a throat hit? Right now I use 12 nic and 50 50 mix and it's perfect for me. But I was thinking of cutting down \out nicotine eventually.. suggestions are appreciated !
