Ok so I vaped for about 3 years and like a dummy went back to smoking for about a year after some .... when down anyway I am trying to vape again and I just don't remember it being so harsh. I make my own juice buy all my supplies from rts and other than the flavor I use VG. I have even dropped the Nic lev down to 2% but everytime I take a drag it's feel harsh, dry and wheezy any ideas?

Is your nic base VG? VG nic base needs to be shaken/mixed like crazy, otherwise you can get concentrated "ribbons" of nic in it. What is it's strength?

Also, Pro Tank heads (clearomizer heads in general) are notorious for being hit or miss. They can be especially temperamental with thicker VG juices. You could quite simply have a wonky atomizer head.

Maybe you made your lungs worse ( more sensitive) going back to smoking, than they were the first time you transitioned to vaping.

Absolutely. I only went back to smoking for a month, after 3 1/2 mo. smoke free, and this time around, my lungs are much worse than they were the first time, after smoking for 39 yrs. It seems like the 3 1/2 mo smoke-free made my lungs more sensitive or something; now I'm going thru getting rid the smoke crud again, only a month's worth, but my asthma is giving me a great deal more trouble than when I quit smoking/started vaping the first time.

But throat hit feels much the same as it did then, and I still like it, but I do notice that sometimes it can bring on an asthma attack. I had to go back to using Advair rather than just a rescue inhaler alone.

A badly performing setup can be harsh too. And the nic is harsh. And all PG is harsh.

First off, try a new coil. Often works wonders. Or clean the old one with whatever method you use.
Maybe try an experiment by adding up to 10% water a little at a time in a small bottle of juice (so you don't mess up a large bottle experimenting on it)
Also, depending on setup, if that doesn't work, lower the volts a bit and work up.

And like said above, shake juice real well. Again.

Bet the water helps though.
