Whenever I vape, I can feel a scratchy sort of sensation on the back of my throat. I can also feel a slight tingly sensation on my tongue.

I'm not sure if this is because I have a reaction against PG concentrated liquids or because of the nicotine. The strength of the e juices I use are 18mg.

I'm using a standard ego battery at the stock voltage settings. I don't lung inhale. I find that the first initial hits are harsh, but the ones after that aren't as bad; however, when I take an hour break or so from vaping, the harshness returns. I've tried multiple juices, but all are 70/30 pg vg. I find that some liquids are more harsh than others, the least harsh being menthol. I plan to try out a bunch of different combinations of nicotine strength and pg vg ratio on my next order.

My question is if anybody has experienced the same thing and if switching to 100 % VG or lower nicotine has solved their issues.

Besides reducing the nic, you may want to try reducing your voltage or watts. If your slightly burning your juice it may not affect the flavor too much, but your throat notices.

As a beginner vaper, I've decided to use the standard ego batteries. These aren't the twist version and there are no voltage controls. I don't believe I am burning my juice since the default settings is probably somewhere between 3.2-3.7 volts. At the moment I am just trying to pinpoint whether the irritation is from the nicotine or the pg.
