Your symptoms also coincide with panic/anxiety attacks. I'm not a doctor, but let's suppose vaping causes a slight, temporary tightness in the chest. (I get it too if I vape too much or inhale too deeply). Your subconscious mind starts playing out all kinds of terrifying scenarios, so your body goes into flight or fight mode. There's a big pump of adrenaline, which makes your heart race, gives shortness of breath, and draws circulation away from the extremities (which can cause numbness). You don't understand what's going on, so you get more worked up. The spiral continues. Over a week of this, your breathing patterns change and you start breathing with the upper part of your lungs, which is not normal and can cause chest pain/tightness. You get more scared and it continues to build.
I would encourage you to look into generalized anxiety disorder and panic attacks. There are many online tests you can take that can help figure out if this is the cause.
Please feel free to PM me if you think this might be the case. I went through hell for years with panic attacks before I figured it out and got help. (Meditation does it for me, 20 min. a couple times a week and I've been fine for a decade now).
