Maybe you drink too much water? I use Wikipedia and found Water intoxication symptom. Use enough water, do not drink too much at a same time. Don't turn back to analog.

At the onset of this condition, fluid outside the cells has an excessively low amount of solutes (such as sodium (hyponatremia) and other electrolytes) in comparison to that inside the cells causing the fluid to shift through (via osmosis) into the cells to balance its concentration. This causes the cells to swell. In the brain, this swelling increases intracranial pressure (ICP). It is this increase in pressure which leads to the first observable symptoms of water intoxication: headache, personality changes, changes in behavior, confusion, irritability, and drowsiness. These are sometimes followed by difficulty breathing during exertion, muscle weakness, twitching, or cramping, nausea, vomiting, thirst, and a dulled ability to perceive and interpret sensory information. As the condition persists papillary and vital signs may result including bradycardia and widened pulse pressure. The cells in the brain may swell to the point where blood flow is interrupted resulting in cerebral edema. Swollen brain cells may also apply pressure to the brain stem causing central nervous system dysfunction. Both cerebral edema and interference with the central nervous system are dangerous and could result in seizures, brain damage, coma or death.[4]

ok that sounds scary but i'm sure i did not over do drinking water.. normally i would drink less water so maybe i should just drink more since i think the eliquid drys my mouth, throat, nose and maybe other parts of my organs? i'm not sure... but i'm back to analogs and on my 3rd day and i'm back to normal .. so i'm 100% sure it was the ecigs. i will take a break for a week and start vaping again... maybe my body needs to cleanse or clear anything that has build up in my body? Just a guess ... What really was uncomfortable for me was my heartbeat... i could simply count my heartbeat without touching my wrist and it will pump hard and i was able to feel it. It was like my heart was working harder to pump blood. That was scary... i go for runs, gyms, i dont drink soft drinks or eat chocolates or sweets. No none sickness untill this happened... I have a strong feeling it was dehydration now.. and i really hope it was just dehydration.

I had a similar experience a while back. For me it was just too much nicotine. I was vaping at 24 mgs. I was a pretty heavy smoker. After about the first month, I realized that I didn't need that much nicotine for the amount that I was vaping. So I stepped my nicotine down to 18mg and the problems went away. Every now and then I may vape a little higher if I need a good fix, but for the most part, I'm good at 18mg and may be ready to step down the nic level again pretty soon. I eventually want to be off the nicotine completely and then 0mg vape just for fun. I'd love to be out from under this addiction. Too me it just sound like your nic level is too high. Not poisoned, just too high.;)

I had tightness of chest and difficulty breathing after i started vaping high% VG juice for a while, took about 2 weeks to get back to normal after I switched back to PG dominate juices. Seems like everyone is affected differently by these things, just have to chug along and figure it out. Good luck.

I was back on analogs for the past 4 day , now each time i smoke... my heart beat goes up and last for about 15-30 mins. i thought it could have been dehydration but now i think it's nicotine that's has got to do with my symptoms since both vaping and anologs have in common is nicotine. But what i'm wondering now is ... how could just one cigarette that contains 1.0mg-1.8mg make my heart beat this fast? Unless it's nicotine overdose... i'm really confused.

I get chest congestion (tightness as well as excessive chest & throat fluid) when I use juices with higher than 40% VG. I know this for a fact because when I first noticed it I had just switched from 70pg/30vg to 50/50 and although I suspected it was the cause it took almost a week to get the symptoms, about a week for them to go away once I switched back to 70/30, but it was the end of spring/onset of hot & humid days so I wasn't sure what was the real cause. I stayed at 70/30 for a month or so and then tried 50/50 again with the same results. After another month or so of 70/30 I then tried 60pg/40vg and got slight but noticeable congestion after about 3 or so weeks and it cleared up within a day or 2 of going back to 70/30.

Currently I vape 65pg/35vg without any problems other than occasional break-up of my voice if I have been vaping heavily and am not active. If I'm not being a couch or computer potato, 65/35 works fine and I prefer it for a bit more vapor. All of my ratio 'experiments' were done with unflavored DIY mixes because I also wanted to rule out flavors as a possibility. I also suspect (but have not yet verified to my satisfaction) that alcohol in some flavors gives me a very raw, sore throat. I've found some tobacco flavors that don't affect my throat so I'm back on flavors now and about ready to see if I can narrow down my past throat issues.

The bottom line is that everyone is different, but I'd suggest giving your symptoms some thought and try a few plain mixes in a couple of different ratios. Everyone means well and has their own anecdotal stories, so you just need to find your solution using logic and experimentation.

has been 2 days now since i started back analogs and stopped vaping and i notice that i have started to clear my throat which i did not for the past few months. Also i am able to sign like normal as i noticed that while i was vaping, my voice would break up. Since trying to figure out what caused this. But i am very sure it's because of ecigs. PG/VG all gave me the problems i had mentioned. Looks like i'm one of those that just cannot vape? But i was vaping away for 4 months happily.... This really is sad

You know I lose my voice now a lot since I started vaping too. I think in 30 yrs I may have lost my voice 2ce ad since I started vaping I have lost my voice at least 20 times in the past 1 1/2 yrs and I also get the tight chest when I vape a lot. Sounds like we have the same issues. I have no isdea what is causing it for me either but it has not been bad enough to make me quit vaping. I just feel like I need to take a really deep breath but am not able to after vaping for a 5 minute session of chain vaping so I just try to stop for a bit til I can breathe again. Seems it happens more so when using genesis atties. I hope you find out what it is. I hate to hear someone went back to smoking. :(

I have already gone back to analogs :( the worst is i know how bad it is and i have no other choice now unless if i quit for good. (which i can't ) . I will vape once more after a few weeks to see how i feel. If i still get the same symptoms again, than that's the end of vaping for me. Now that i'm back to analogs , i'm feeling much better and getting back to normal. So i really don't know what was the real reason till now. I could not figure it out.

So sorry to hear your troubles, Godspeed. I really can't smoke anymore. I cheated for about 4 days awhile ago and smoked and felt terrible. Got the post nasal drip again and such. I don't know what I would do if I couldn't Vape. That royally uhm, sucks. Sorry you are having so much trouble vaping.

ya this is real sad for me, i was off analogs for 4 months and in that time i felt much better but i can't vape anymore. I'm someone who does not even get sick. I go for jogs, gyms and workout etc. I'll give vaping another try in few weeks time and i pray that i do not get any symptoms than.

Do you have a variable voltage device? I'm asking because in addition to me needing low VG, I found that differing voltages with various juices makes a difference with me as well. I won't say higher or lower is better or worse, because it depends on the juice both for flavor and for 'hanging there' in my throat/lungs. Well worth trying an inexpensive Twist or Spinner, imo.

Hi i have yet to find out if the problem was cause by the ecigs but i have gone back to analogs for the time being. I even went to see a cardiologist and explained and even he told me that ecigs should not be a problem... but when i'm vaping the tight chest feelings comes.

I was diagnosed with bronchitis and pneumonia yesterday. My symptoms showed up a little less than 2 weeks ago and I immediately stopped vaping thinking it must be the vape causing my issue. I was seen by 3 different physicians (the first 2 attributed my symptoms to allergies) before receiving chest X-rays and being diagnosed on my final visit yesterday.

I was open with my vaping with all 3 docs and none of them took any issue with it. I asked specifically if vaping could be causing my issues and none of them seemed to think it was related. In fact 2 of them referred to me as an ex smoker! The doc who diagnosed me did say it would be good to minimize vaping until my lungs have had a chance to heal as nicotine could irritate the infection.

OP, I'm not saying my experience is the same as yours, but I thought this information was relevant to this thread.

I noticed the motorcycle in your avatar, have you had a crash and broke your ribs, like years ago? I broke 4 of mine and some times if I sleep bad or take a slight knock, it feels like I'm having heart attack. Same feeling as when I broke them, ish. When bones heal they can be thicker at break and touch muscles that they didn't before. Hey I'm no doctor but just a thought. Good luck.

OK for me i have so far seen 4 doctors and a cardiologist . Even my cardiologist said that vaping should not be giving me such issues . But just 20 mins ago i vaped.. and it's been a week or more since i last vaped and the tight chest feeling on my left came back. Now this is really getting strange for me. I have done so many test and every doc said that they could not find any issues with my body or health. I am back to analogs and all this while , while smoking... I did not get the tight chest feeling and now i'm 100% sure it's ecigs. It is doing something to my body but just that couldn't figure it out... I really hate to be back to analaogs but guess i have no other choice until some research is done or i could find an answer to why it causes the tight chest feelings..

p.s: I'm really jealous of all those that could vape happily without any issues :toast:
