Sounds like you just blocking the airflow, if it like a clearomizer head its just a piece of 2 mm wick over a 4 mm air tube. The thicker the wick the more air you block off

Cut a 3/8" piece of cotton off the pad and slowly on a flat surface roll it with the palm of your hand til it's about the same size of the silica wick that normally comes with it.
In essence your creating a piece of string out of cotton. It will also get longer so it will most likely turn into 2 wicks. It takes a bit of time but well worth it.

I learned that from a guy making a wick for a subtank to vape higher VG juices, and a friend of mind was having the same issues you are so I told him about it, he came over and we made him a new wick. I'll try to find the YouTube link and post it up. It's the same concept just for your carto

Yeah man just the wick part. With a longer pad and some more time rolling it out you will make a piece that should work for you.Nice video, thanks mateI'll be sure to try this technique out
