Ok, enough hoopla about the SB, DBSB, "Y" tube (yes, I thought of it first dammit -- or at least spoke the name first), etc. etc. blah blah blah. I mean really, that's all a bit played out don't you think? :D

Now's the time to focus the limited resources on something truly useful, cool, and a downright gaping hole in the product line.
The 6v bottom for the BB

Umm I think there is a possibility for the BB to vape @ "6v" but it is strongly strongly advised not to... I could be going by old data... but I know there are talks about it here on the forum.. if you search it.

Yea, and then there was talk about modified bottoms so they wouldn't fit or you couldn't screw it all the way on or stuff like that, and the original was never intended for it anyway. We're talking about a proper 6v bottom solution that works with some sort of protected batteries.

well I think the cr123s would be the next step up... BUT that is what the SB and the BSB can do... and that's a little bigger so that would be your 6v..... it's just what I am thinking... But I will leave it for either Rob or CDDZ to chime in....

EDIT: but the PT can do 6v if you have the right supply ;)

Well, the design team can't make batteries. So either you buy protected cr123a's and use the SB. Or you buy lifepo4 cr123a's, also for the SB. Or you use the BB PT at whatever voltage you darn well please.

That, or the team has to go all the way back to the drawing board if they want to make something as small as the BB and still fit in protected 3v batts. Even if they do, it will still likely be a decent amount larger than the BB and only slightly smaller than the SB.

Of course, this could all change once a real protected cr2 batt comes out and is about the same size as a regular unprotected cr2.

You may have a point there... not all the way back though. Just the minimal bottom needed. I mean, c'mon, they did it over 10 years ago on Star Trek...

How come no one has come out with a battery pack solution? Some sort of flexible battery pack (or packs) with a headphone sized/form cord to a minimal button and atomizer? Maybe just a stub bottom with the plug in it. Then you could attach the battery bottom for what fits, pt for stationary use, or a battery pack for the ultimate in flexibility and mobile choices. Kind of like a laptop relative to a PC. (you heard it from me first :))

Looking at my BB, seems that if the bottom were bored out 2-3 mm or so, and about 1.5 cm longer (like the PT bottom), it could take 123's. The thing is plenty thick, I don't think slightly thinner walls would cause failure, and might even be lighter.
The minimum Bore would have to be .650 which is .025 larger. The threads would blow out. I am not one to do a one trick pony here. The V1.1 BB is .150 longer and will support the protected 6v option and the 14500. Is there a big intrest in a CR123 device only?

Protected? or is that the CR123A? and YES there is big interest right here! :) (and where is the Buy It Now button for the V1.1 BB? or do I have that already?)

In my opinion, CR123A's are the best battery in vaping right now. Although sometimes I use the 18650 battery in my silver bullet to test juices and attys at different voltages, I use 123a's 95% of the time. They simply perform great, last a long time, and charge fast.

So yes, I would be interested in a cr123A only device, as long as its smaller than the silver bullet.
