I'm using a dual 18650 parallel mech mod and I think it's time for some new batteries. My builds are typically between 0.15 ~ 0.2 ohms.
I'm considering the Sony VTC5a since they are on sale at Illumn for a decent price but thought I should ask here for feedback or any other suggestions.
Get them, they are a superbly performing cell.
Having said that 0.15 ohms will be drawing about 14 amps per cell. So you could go with HG2s or 30Qs and get a bit more runtime.
Since you are using a parallel mech the two batteries will be sharing the amp load of your 0.15 - 0.2 ohm build. The way I understand it (and Mooch, correct me if I am wrong), the total amps of two batteries shouldn't be considered to be double that of a single battery, but 1.5 times according to Mooch. I don't remember which below video that he explained that.
You will get slightly longer battery time with a battery with more mAh, but a battery with higher continuous discharge rate will theoretically be safer should you encounter a battery incident like a stuck fire button, etc.
