i have been using the VAMO v2 with a vivi nova v2 for about a year now and have been happy with it but i think i will be upgrading my vv/vw apv soon after some deep research.

the question i have is with the vivi nova, i loved it at first and i rebuild the heads myself and all is good but as of late i keep getting large amounts of fluid in my mouth because i find myself tipping it to make sure my wick is totally wet to avoid a burnt taste. the fluid tastes nasty as im sure you all know, so i want to start using something else ... but what?

i like the rapid tank that pbasardo used in one of his latest videos on youtube but at $40+ dollars seems kinda expensive and i don't know pretty much anything about cartos weather u can rebuild them what exactly u replace in them and that kinda stuff.

iv been pretty out of the loop because iv been pretty happy with the set up i have and really dont even know whats out now or whats new. i dont really care if its a carto a clearo so im just going to try to explain what im looking for.

things i like about the vivi nova - its never leaked other then into my mouth lately which is probably the worst kind of leak. and the really simple maintenance and rebuild, and i like how customization they are visually anyway.
things id like for this new piece to do/have - not having to tip and swirl would be nice! getting a burnt taste less often would deff be nice. being able to rebuild it myself would be a lot better then frequently ordering little pieces, not getting juice in my mouth obviously, i do change flavors probably around every 10ml or so.

if you know of one or have one you think i would be interested in please don't hesitate to suggest it and tell me a little about it that would be an amazing help, and if u wanna through in a suggestion for a vv/vw apv thats fine too but i wanna gear this more to the clearo carto atty kinda things as that is what im going to need much more help with and understanding.

Thanks so much in advance,
Justin

You can try a Protank. I hate them. Other people love them. Glass tanks, bottom fed = no swirling etc.

If you're interested in testing the waters with Carto Tanks you can snag some pre-punched cartos (I have a preference for Ikenvape LR) and a tank from IBtanked (make sure you match the length of the tank to the length of the carto) and read Bad's blog on filling em up that I'm too lazy to find.

I usually rock RBA's but when I'm lazy in the morning and want a nice consistant vape for the day I grab my carto tank, fill it up, and head out.

Try the EVODS they are bottom coil and so far are exellent, i do havevivinovas metal ones and i leave them for my hard juices only, the EVOD heads are cheap and with proper cleaning they will last forever.. A protank is like a bigger EVOD with pyrex glass tank i prefer the evods because the protank is very airy but you can put EVOD heads and get a better vape,i still prefer the EVOD

I'm in the exact same position as you! I use novas and rebuild them as well, and have no real complaints except that the vapor quality drops as you go through the tank. I'm looking for something pretty much exactly the same except that it performs well when it gets near empty.

The Evod looks as easy to rebuild, and the coil is on the bottom so gravity should keep it moist without the tipping/twirling. It doesn't bother me having to empty a nova tank when I change heads, but I suspect I'm going to really appreciate not having to do that with the Evod. I have some arriving soon and will let you know how it goes!

Looked into the EVOD overall it looks like what im looking for the only setbacks i saw for it were somewhat small tank volume and i feel like it being skinny would look odd on an APV. Other then that i really like it, some other possible suggestions?

Protank or vapeonly bcc. They are wider and hold more juice, same bottom coil design.

Try a carto tank...you might be pleasantly surprised. Surrounding the carto in liquid gets rid of dry hits and the flavor is superior to a clearo IMO.

I cant recommend Phiniac tanks highly enough. Super rugged, beautiful and customizable with almost any graphic you can think of. Check em out at Phiniac.com

2nd this. KPTs are nice for their pyrex tanks and ease of use, but you'll sacrifice flavor. The New Smok DCTs are pyrex, 6ml, interchangeable drip tips, and a few bucks cheaper than KPTs.
However, the EVODs have a place as they too are easy and cheap, and the flavor is great, though they only hold 1.6ml. When I'm working around the house I have an evod/spinner on a lanyard around my neck. Otherwise its RBAs and DCTs all day.

Dont you love the vapor world.

1 question 50 answer

After trying different types of equipment(Ce4/viva Nova/Kanger t3) and after dry hits, burning taste, drinking liquid, leakage.

I just bought my first cartotank and so far has been huge difference. No leakage, consistent vapor and flavor. I will never go back to clearomizers and the like.

Got a smoketech pyrex and loving it so far. But im just a noob, what do I know.

Using ego twist 70ish 30ish blend.

Thats cause its rare to find someone using the exact same PV, juice delivery devices and juices you use. Add the fact that everyones taste buds and levels of expertise are different and you can have wildly varying opinions about the same items.

For home the Protank. It's glass so no worry about melting, cracking or frosting. But it's glass so it will break. So outside and Evod. I have both and love them. I use to be a strict Vivi person but i've been converted. They are also coming out with a Protank mini.
Another note on the Protank. There have been several cases (not with me) of folks reporting the 510 threads breaking off in their PV. That may be another reason to not take the protank out much where you can drop it break the glass or the threads off. I don't like dual coils as they need higher wattage and draw more current. Some batteries don't like that. But that is just an opinion. I only tried a dual coil carto and not an Iclear.

Oh forgot on a new APV I would get the new Zmax V3 flat top telescoping. They are going for under $70.00 now I got my for $53.00 on a Fathers day special which expired like an hour after my order. I love it. It is easy to change settings. Bright display. The ZMAX uses a single 18650, one or two 18350 or one 18500 IMR batteries simply by twisting the telescopic body. I got mine here. I love it.
Sigelei Stainless V3 ZMAX Telescope Variable Power (adjustable wattage) VV APV

Ok so I deff want to try a carto now the phiniacs are cool but I dont want to spend 50 bucks on something just because it looks cool is the functionality worth the money or are there cheaper ones that are just as good? If I end up spending that kind of money on a carto ill be getting an evod for when I leave my house as someone suggested. Thank you all for ur replies

I would use carto tanks if not for the refilling ritual. It's not very easy.

The tank is either too loose and you have slidey action everywhere or it's so tight you can't get it off without using brake pulling equipment. Have improvements been made in the last six months? If so, I might give it a shot.
