I'm newer to squonking, my rda doesn't have a high post that distributes the liquid down on the coil and cotton, it puts it in the well. Which do you think is better?

All depends on the design of the RDA. Is saturating a coil through squonking a priority of design or is flavour and or airflow a priority. And does one aspect affect the other. Example – there are RDA’s such as the Pulse X that have a specific design that caters to squonking. In the case of the Pulse X it is squonking from the top and onto the coil where it matters most. Excellent and very innovative design. However, in order to achieve this, we have a massive post in the centre of the RDA – does this post affect flavour and airflow? Some subjectively say yes.

Personally I think squonking comes second to flavour and air flow. I can always resquonk if the wick is not saturated enough. You can’t fix flavour if the RDA is of poor design. Saying that I personally do not have a preference if it squonks into a well or onto a coil as long as the flavour and airflow meet my needs.

I am having a brain fart or something. I am missing something. The same current goes through each battery. Even if you have two batteries, 45 watts is still going through each one if you vape at 45 watts.

Wrong.

Wattage doubles if using two batteries (45W x2 = 90W total max available). The user sets the wattage setting via the regulator chip. The chip determines the current output to the atomizer. Batteries do not "push" current, the chip "pulls" the desired current from the battery.

I remember RipTrippers saying, "This goes up to 30 watts" I thought to myself, "Why would anyone use so much power." But yes, that's a good way to describe it. "It Pulls"

Funny you mention Hana. I recently made reference to them in another thread, on another topic.

I hope "Mr. Hana" is well. I liked him a lot.

He deserved better than the attacks he got. :|

There was the dna 20. Yes, for years 15 watts was it and I just couldn't wait for at least 20. At that time, 20 or higher sounded like a dream and some even said it's probably not even possible to go much higher. I remember the futura and 7 mod were in the works with the dna20, I really wanted that 7 mod, but was able to get the futura. When the 30 came out, I believe I bought the vapor shark mod...from then on it went higher and higher very fast

the nautilus made waves too

$30 aud for a clearomizer was much more than the $5 evods that preceded it
It was revolutionary from a performance perspective. For the first time a clearomizer equaled the performance of a cartotank. Big news at the time. Both Grimm Green and Rip Trippers remarked how the Mini Nautilus compared to the high standards of a cartotank.

Wasn't there a 12 watt at one point too, or is that just my brain at the end of a too-long week?

Where my keys at.

I loaded up on "20"s when they first came out (Hanas, Mamus, and a few others), but skipped the 30s. Got back in at the 40's, then a few 75s and one 60.

I vape at around 11.

This thread is bringing back so many memories. I still have one of the first "bottom feeders" in a drawer someplace. Bought it in the classifieds here at EFC. Before the Buzz and the Provari came along everyone was vaping on the cheap so there was a constant flow of DIY improvements people came up with. Anyone remember stuffing cartridges with strips of aquarium filter (with or without the cocktail straw down one side to increase airflow) or the fringes cut out of tea bag casings? Those were the days...

I do remember the blue aquarium foam and tea bags but I missed out on the straw.
