Yeah I noticed those were dual coil and that I should be looking for a single coil. On the clearos I have tried everything from short wick stardust, long wick ones, e1 reloads, smoktech egos, vivi nova, a bunch of other named ones. Most of the time its a lack of flavor that is the problem. Then the dry hits and burning taste come about. I have taken them apart, cleaned them, trimmed the silicone away from the coils, etc, etc, etc. Just looking to try something else now. Then again, it might just be time to stop vaping. I never planned on doing it forever anyways.

All tanks/ Clearos will weaken the flavor. Best for flavor is attys, next cartos. Bottom feeders also rock in the flavor category. Although I haven't tried them I'm hearing bottom coil Clearos provide good flavor. With my tanks/ clearos I add extra flavor. I believe the issue re: with and Clearos is the flavor separates over time while being in the tank.

Sorry to say it but that DCC is the last thing I would want to use on an eGo battery. It just draws way to many amps for that little battery. The base idea of switching to a cartomizer however is a good one, but you would be far better off getting some single coil cartos. CCV, as suggested, has a large variety to choose from.

I have to agree with TJ - you want flavor and TH - try a 1.7 ohm single coil ST - I have a 1100 mah KGO - and use 100% VG - and I tell ya what - nothing so far has given me a TH like these - actually maybe a little too much so I draw less. DC are ok - I hardly get any TH with em. I got my 1.7 at hoosiers.com - am sure everyone sells em.

Help a noob out please. I am tired of the flooding followed by dry hit followed by burnt taste that I get from every one of the clearo-whatever you want to call them. Is there something out there that will work with an ego type setup that I can actually taste my fluid without all of the hassles I seem to be having now?

Yep, I was getting the same thing. I've got T2 Clearos and both Vivi Novas and the CE3s. It didn't take me long to discover dripping straight onto an atomizer. It's the simplest (for me), the attys are lasting forever, the best biggest vape, and tons of flavor. But dripping isn't for everyone. But I love the fact I can change juices often.

I've tried em all too.. they work great for a while, but I always go back to my 3.5ml tanks with single coil 2.0ohm prepunched cartos. Some people say they can taste the filler in the cartos, I don't. For me, those DCTs (with single coil cartos) give the best vape.. great flavor, lots of vapor, and I've gotten four weeks and more out of a carto in those tanks. I have 8 of them filled and ready to go at all times,, and when I get my juice order tomorrow, I'll have a total of 10 tanks... (I switch flavors a lot during the day :))

What is a Clearomizer to you?

I hear this term and it seems to Apply to just about Anything now that has a Clear Tube on it. And that is a Lot of Different Products/Designs.

I am not a huge fan of the regular clearomizers... I do like the version 2 from juicy vapor with replaceable coils though. My first coil head started tasting burnt after 3-4 days then at a price of $2.50 I just swapped the coil out and it's fresh again and is real easy to do. After researching though I think I am going to be getting boge cartos from Electronicstix which are $7.25 for a pack of 5 and then am going to run a tank to extend the life of the carto. I do have a smoketech DCT tank on its way with a young june ccv chrome/ vari-tube and might be able to shorten the tank to work with the boge cartos but don't know for sure. For some reason the site says the tank only works with proprietary dual coil cartos but didn't get into specifics as to why. I'm pretty sure though if I can teach myself how to build a Harley that I can figure something out lol.

Well I am not sure what you are using with out more information. I am currently using the Stardust V2 clearomizer. However I have not had the issues you are describing. I have had these issues with cartomizers in the past for both the ego and echo style batteries. It might just be the equipment you are using. Have you tried the ego-t tank system with rebuild able atomizers? They are about as close to dripping as you can get with out just dripping all the time. Check out this equipment and see if it works for you. AltSmoke.com | Personal Vaporizers | Electronic Cigarette | Ecigs | eGo-C Joye Starter Kit
