I think I'll let my blemish tube order stand and see how some teflon tape affects the loose threads. If the tape helps, I might invest in some gray teflon tape at some point. Or I could just sell it on the classifieds otherwise I suppose.

Good thinking..

I'm not so sure that my OCD would allow this but I look forward to hearing your results! :)

Any chance of ordering just a stainless locking ring from the 18000 series to go with my blemish? You know, I'm actually still owed shipping from a previous order where I added a couple of drip tips to my ELA order but was never refunded. I never made a big deal about it since it was just a few bucks though. But now that I'm (hopefully) combining the blemish tube with my Simplicity Ti order... would 2x shipping = 1 locking ring? :) Or is it a different size firing button as well?

As happy as a I am that I was able to resist buying a 350Ti, I still had a bit of "non-buyer's remorse." At $49, there was no way that I could stop myself from picking up a blem 350Ti tube. Plus, David has a very different definition of "blemished" than other makers so it's safe to say that these tubes will be awesome with SS caps. The timing couldn't have been any better because I was just complaining to a friend last night that I haven't bought anything in a while and I was feeling the need to buy something.

Just a heads up, though these blem tubes will fit your existing TI 18350, your locking ring will be quite loose. One of the aspects of the blem and the resulting changes we made were to the thread major diameter where the locking ring screws in. These are much better suited to be used with the stainless steel locking ring that comes on the existing stainless steel 18000 series if you have one. The SS and Brass locking rings for the new TI bodies we just made were changed too to fit the new TI bodies too but don't fit these blems well (very loose, may strip out over time).

I really only recommend these Blemised TI tubes to be used with existing Stainless Steel 18000 series parts, not with the new TI parts.

Email sent regarding Order 17166. Thanks for the heads up...

I have some brass 18000 locking rings that we made up long ago, but they need to be honed out and I bought a tool for it, but haven't tried it yet. I'll try a few, if they work, I'll put them up. I don't think I have any spare stainless though, but i'll check and if I do, i'll put them up too.

Ok, so I have 21 spare stainless steel locking rings and quite a few brass ones too that will be the proper fit on these titanium blemished bodies. The brass you may have to do a bit of fine tuning for fitment (internal honing and deburring, but I did the bulk of it with my hone, you can just wrap a piece of fine sandpaper around a sharpie or what not if you need to do a bit of further honing on the inner diameter).

These brass and stainless steel locking rings DO NOT fit the new batch of Titanium bodies we just did up, only the Blemished Titanium bodies and regular stainless steel 18000 series Simplicities.

Ill have them up on the site shortly.

No notice yet so I am going to try positive energy!

Shipping notice, shipping notice, shipping notice...

Darn didn't work! No ding sound from my Macbook indicating a new email has arrived!

Hey it was worth a try right?

Working on them all day raqball, almost there!
