I'm thinking about sending out the P+ and Strata to have them both mirror polished. David has a unique interpretation of the word polished lol......Sorry to go off on a non Ti tangent

I always had a love for SS mirror polish. When I received the ELA, I was disappointed. However, I think I now prefer David's unique interpretation of the word polished. BTW: Love that line! Could not wait to use it in a sentence. Thanks for making me smile! :)

Appreciate the kind responses.

I had an ELA but it was a bit too much for me. I love my Precise Plus though. It does just what I need without all the bells and whistles of the ELA. I don't switch battery sizes so I really don't need the telescopic feature and while the adjustable airflow is nice I really don't need that either. I have a feeling that the Strata with all it's features on my 650 P+ will end up being my go to setup.

That will be a great set up :thumb:

Ive been chugging away on my little Noisy Cricket and was wondering how low of a resistance is safe to use on a 350 battery. I dont want to be using unsafe resistance. I am using just at 1.0. I read somewhere that using to low of resistances on smaller batteries might be pushing the safety.

I have used high capacity (up to 63V/65 amps constant with bursts over 100) lithium based chemistry batteries for over 10 years, since the very time they were made available, at least for radio control aircraft hobby.
It is my personal experience that the safety concerns are way over rated regarding their use.
I have on purpose abused such batteries in every way i could think of in order to find out how much i should be concerned, how much truth or fiction is there since it seems to me( in most aspects of life) there is so much ignorance in the world.
Most people take for good a lot of hearsay so to speak and few have the curiosity or the means to experiment.
Of course the industry doesn't want any accidents. Nor do the users for that matter.
But i believe it is the industry who suggests very conservative parameters and even scares away the people.
A battery, regardless of its chemistry will give only as much juice as it can. It doesn't much care. It will get warm, it might vent, it might suffer damage as in shortening its life span.
As far as vaping, the batteries are used on short bursts, not under a constant demand as in for example doing 3D aerobatics with a RC helicopter.
From my experience i would say charging at a lower rate using a decent charger(even though they might be rated to higher C for charging), not over discharging and giving them a little rest after use, and prevent them from shorting (as they will blow up and catch fire) will prolong their life.
Don't succumb to paranoia as many uneducated people do.
As Nach, i use .8 ohm coils with good success in 18350 batteries.
Phew! Rant over.

PS. Just for refference, here is a camera heli with a 2 meter rotor span with 2/10S, 10 Amph Thunder Power(500$ a pop) lipos and a bunch more auxiliary ones.

I wanted 2 from the get go.. One for each of my personalities!

So technically speaking I am 2 different people so I should be allowed to have 2 right?

Seriously:

In the interest of being and staying drama free I will send back the other if David asks me to. Maybe a mistake was made and the 1 per person rule was still in effect..

I took the returned one as a 1st come, 1st served kind of thing so I jumped all over it like a hobo on a ham sammich!

In Raqs defense, If the one per person was that much of a " written in stone " thing, it should have been up to Super-T to catch that. They have all the invoices and certainly know Raq as he is one of the beta testers for the Strata.

He loves his Ti and like all of us, we many times need/ want to have a back up. Yes there is the one per customer, but Im sure if the opportunity to have another much loved item came to any of us, we would have jumped on it like that Hobo.

Im sure it doesnt console those that didnt get to get one, but it was really in Super-Ts hands. Im sure their initial "one per" was to avoid people from buying multiples and then selling them for a profit, etc.

Thanks..

I also look at it like this..

It took the Ti 2 days to sell out. I was kind of surprised by this as I figured they'd all be gone in a matter of hours.

Everyone had 2 whole days to decide if they wanted to purchase one. On top of that there was a cancellation that lasted a few hours on the site before Nach snarfed it up..

The one I just snarfed, which was a return almost a whole month after they were sold out, was there for at least 30(+) minutes by my estimation..

I believe the one per customer was for the original sale and for the reasons that you already mentioned.

I am pretty sure they knew it was me who purchased it and I am pretty sure they know I already had one. I've been buying Super T gear since day one 4-years ago and I'm pretty sure they know who I am..

However, if it was a mistake and if I was asked by David to send it back then I would do so out of pure respect for him and Super T..

All the drama these last few pages has seriously dampened my excitement of getting little Ti # 2 tomorrow...

1st I get accused of meddling in a trade / SN # fiasco. I prove I didn't, I get NO apology from the accuser ...

Now the drama over the yet to be delivered little Ti ..

Man o man has the Super T user base changed over the years..

That is all I am out!

If asked to return it I will... /end subject

And now back to the regularly scheduled programming..

I feel, the '1 per' was for the original sale. Any 'returns'/'cancellations', they are up for grabs. But, what do I know?

Oh, Raq, dont pout. Please stay here with us.......... ENjoy your little Ti without guilt. No one should be made to feel guilt. We know you are not a Flipper and she will be loved by you.

Like Cucco said, the one per was to keep certain types from hogging them up and flipping them for profit.

But...... If we see you selling one off, we will .......

No really they are yours, to enjoy. If your enjoyment fades and you decide to sell , its your right and you dont have to be covert about it ( not meant to insult Covert ) ENjoy, lets all love our Super-T gear with no guilt.
