well in Portugal everything is like 3 years delayed... when the crash started around the world, I didn't felt anything, when it was rock bottom, I started to feel the hit so I guess that in about 3 years or so, things will get better... maybe... :)

Can't complain too much, many were hit much harder than myself and I used the crisis to buy a nice new flat at half the listed price so not all is that bad... I'm still from the time that when things go south, buy real estates... bad thing is that they started to tax that also heavily so now its actually not a good idea to own property. Oh well...

Hmm... a dry leaf atomizer... that must be nice without all that burned paper and mixed tobbaco :D I never felt for that stuff, don't know why.

Tony

Yes the thing about real estate seems pretty much true anywhere, when values are very low from "recession" or whatever (it felt more like a depression, but I'm no economist, what do I know), and interest rates are rock bottom, that's the time to buy property, and my stepfather was a businessman his whole working life, so he knew this was true also, and that it would literally save us, so he and my mom helped us get the credit situation straightened out, and now we own a home. For the first time, and we've been married since 1987. I actually did enjoy economics in high school, made A's in it, and I remember something I first learned in that class: no matter how bad times are, there is someone who can profit from it, many times those who had nothing much before the hard times. Wall St mucked things up so bad, things got cheap enough even for poor people to buy them. :D

I must say it at times can get spendy (especially if starting up with a nice mod and stuff getting started). But since I started vaping, I'm still spending well below what I was on cartons of cig's.The set-up I bought has paid itself off. But I'm a 1 mod person, all I have is a Silver Bullet. When it craps the bed I'm just gonna buy another 1. I do have 10 5ml PBC bottom coil tanks though, so I can have all my goto vapes ready to rock and roll at anytime :)

But I'm a 1 mod perso

Yes, the first time I started vaping I had a ton of batteries, atomizers, different stuff etc etc. This time I didn't want to make the same mistakes so I went for a mod I liked, two well established clearomizers, batteries and a charger. I also got an alternative itaste VV V3.0.
The plan was (and still is) to keep rotating between them both... on some occasions its just easier to have the itaste with the aerotank mini on it than walking with the zMax mini. For me, two are plenty enough... if one breaks down, I still have the other. If one of the clearos goes south, I still have the other, etc etc.

the kayfun mini was an unplanned buy just because I found out that I actually like rebuilding and making coils and experiments.... I do rebuild my kanger heads but having a pure rebuildable simple atty is something I wanted. The kanger heads, although rebuildable, do wear out (the silicon bits) so they aren't 100% rebuildable "forever" there are parts that need to be replaced also from time to time.

Aw heck......you got GAS!!!!

Hello - someone mention my name? lol

Seriously though, I used to have my shopping under control because the building where I live has tiny little mailboxes. Only about 6" x 6" square and a foot long. If I had a package coming I'd have to wait all day in the lobby because the delivery guys would just throw packages in the lobby and they'd get stolen. So I just stopped buying stuff.
Then I started vaping and guess what, EVERYTHING FITS! Woohoo! Now my shopping is under control again because I'm dead broke.

Btw that curly fry thing was a riot. Funny because it's embarrassingly, completely true.

Well the joke of the day was at the office when I accidentally stepped on a regular pen and as I picked up the pieces, I saw the spring and I immediately wondered how much amps/volts I would need to make it "glow"... :D

Anyway, today I didn't bought anything but I started to look at other VW mini mods because today my mini zmax started to make a funny thing which I can't really identify... it seems that when I press the button hard and then release it I can feel like if the battery moves from one wall to the other... but it doesn't make any sense. The battery is firmly inserted, the bottom spring presses the battery quite strongly and I can't reproduce the "click" or "wobble" I feel by shaking the mod... it only happens when I press and then release the fire button... ...? the mod still works quite nicely and I love it but that damm click or movement after releasing the power button sucks... I hate that part.

Today's when my daughter's Mt Baker Vapery package comes in, so it's lunch and then we all fiddle back in forth with who gets what liquids, do a tasting, swapping out hardware amongst the four of us and then I always have something new I want to try, but I"m being good, they didn't like "Hoops" and freaking my new favorite Scout's Honor (it's like eating one of granny's green apples off her "pie tree" without the willow switch) *lol*

but yeah it's gotten a tad way out of control, we've reigned it back in...and if I'm not good...I'm going to order something now, hence why I turned here *lol* instead...loving the ladies' pretty vapes thread. *LOL* ARGH!!

Is that mini zmax a Sigelei or a SmokTech zmax? If it's a Sigelei, you might try the Sigelei thread, there are some serious technogeeks in there who seem to routinely break down their Sigeleis and rebuild them!

If it's a SmokTech zmax, I dunno... it's possible they could help you with that one too, though not as likely.

When I started, bought everything and anything that looked interesting. Now realize interesting sometimes = crap...So I'm getting zero'd in on what works/doesn't and I "stock up" cause I have many folks around me interested and I want to save them the heartaches I initially went thru. So if you look at my stockpile, it would seem I have "over ordered", but actually plan to give the extras away as starters for friends/family.....(after that, they buy their stuff!!!) Make my own juices too, will give any of my "converts" any flavor they want to test, but if they start asking for 30/60ml bottles, they gonna help "offset" the expenses.....

Thanks! Going to check it out. Its a Sigelei.

Yeah, I did that the first time but then people just got lazy and in the end it was me who was chasing the best nic base, the best menthol crystals, ordering bulk, hassles, etc and they just got their "juice" when they felt like it. This time its everyone by its own. Sure I help and all but not going to become the supplier of the block again.

Why we're just stocking up for the future crisis coming whether it be from the FDA, global warming, or the world going to he-- in a handbasket. We're PREPPERS!!!! :D Which means we're being responsible and investing in our future survival.

I believe financial donations to CASAA, VM, AVA & the like is also considered investing in our future survival.. :)

Do many of us truly need more gear? Or is that money better utilized elsewhere, at this point?

Guys... I'm so wasted.... I think I got my ever first real nicotine buzz in four years or so.

Since I'm trying to stop this shopping drama, as you all know, I decided I wouldn't buy any more e-liquids and stick to my favourite ice menthol. I ordered 500ml of it last week but it hasn't arrived yet and my 30ml sample bottle ended the other day... I was craving for going out today and buy some mojito from that rip out store but I thought... no... you just want an excuse to buy something so I stayed away. I tried several of the flavors I had at home but they are disgusting so in a final attempt to avoid that store, I went for my old stash of 52mg nicotine, pg and vg. I mixed up a 18mg liquid with 43% PG and 67% VG (my favourite ratio) but as I didn't want to ruin the e-liquid with those gunky and smelly heads, I decided it was time to rebuild both heads.

In the process, I decided to play a little so I made one coil with 32 gauge kanthal A1 (4 turns, came out at 2.2 Ohms) and the other coil was made with 29 gauge kanthal A1 (7 turns, came out at 1.4 Ohms). I then put the unflavored e-liquid in both and started to compare them both lol... I then called my wife and asked her to be my vape cloud judge... then came my kit and wanted to judge too... then came the other kid and said it would be fairer to measure the vape if I let out the steam through my nose lol... anyway... I did that experiment with both setups, during 30 minutes or so (both actually produIce a nice thick vapor at 10W) and then I started to feel my head getting a bit light and... I don't know... wow... kinda feel drunk... didn't get the hiccups yet but feeling ants shooting through my fingers as I write this...

I wonder if two year old nicotine stored in a dark place (not fridge) actually looses any of its nic content or is it possible that it goes higher? I mean, I rechecked my math 3 times and it should be only 18mg but... wow... my head is spinning lol

Have to lie down a little, be right back...

Tony

I never really minded that kind of nicotine buzz... it's that horrible nausea that comes after it, that I mind A LOT. :D

Hi :)

I think I'm ok now lol. I think I vaped 2ml in an hour or so... jeez.

Anyway, its ok. :) I'm ready to do some shopping... ups... I mean vaping!

I don't think I can solve the mini zMax issue. From what I've read, I'll need to pop off the head, reglue the thing and close it... I don't think its worth doing this on a two week old unit. I really like that mod (its the SS version, not those wierd aluminum ones) :(

I will send it back (will contact supplier on monday... if they aren't on holidays) and see if I either get an replacement or a store credit.

At first I was only looking at a replacement because I like it (did I say that already?) but then I started to worry about "what if it happens again?" so I started to look around for something in the same size and its not easy... either you have those provari mini but even if I could justify the price, I kinda find them outdated compared to VW mods and not particularly good looking or some that just don't appeal to me.

My latest "maybe" is an evic with a custom SS 18350 tube mod on it but I have no clue if it is somehow reliable or just another marketing hype. I like the looks and the electronics (I'm a sucker for high tech stuff) but have no idea about the quality... arg

I just want to shop something :(

Tony

Most of the shopping I did last week will be here Monday, gonna be a big vapemail day. I was hoping for more of it today, but all that came today was the unflavored WTA I ordered, and I don't even need to start using that till about Friday. But Monday I should have my Smok RSBT, a new white vv3, a 5pk of cartos, and some plastic bottles for all this DIY stuff. :thumb:

I'll be a happy camper...er, vaper... Monday. :D

GUYS (AND GALS)!!! I need help and I need it now!!!!

I was fiddling around my zMax and although I like it, this wobbling effect I mentioned previously is just getting on my nerves and makes me kinda unhappy... to relax I just went online browsing some stores (I always relax doing that lol) and I kept thinking about the evic old style or supreme (I don't like those picture features but it has some improvements over the old version like changeable 510 threading) with a 18350 body (I like mini stuff) and I was checking prices and here in europe (keep in mind that I can't order from the US or China because if import duty and the high waiting time to get things through customs... its a lottery draw, sometimes it comes through and sometimes its stuck for weeks or a couple of months) you can' get the supreme between 113€ and 139€ (thats $152 and $187 US) for the kit or 95€ (thats US $128) for just the head (no tubes)... anyway... as I was browsing the net, I decided to check out my local stores (which I normally don't because the prices are way high and the stock is limited) well... guess what... "super promotion" of the evic supreme kit for 89€ (US $119), only 10 items left... I started hyperventilating and I'm still doing it... I want one and I want it now!

Please help me! Talk me out of it! My index finger is itching soooo bad I can feel the electricity shooting through it and I can hear my visa whispering in my wallet "yes baby, use me one more time... you know you like it and I like it too... especially if you go 80€+ on me... go for it baby... go for it now..."

ARGGGGGG :( :( Help!

Tony

I think I did fairly well this week. Ordered some batteries because the new Nautilus Minis (which I'm really digging) go through batteries faster than I go through a plate of fried shrimp. Figure this was maintenance so didn't really count.

This weekend was spent trying several of the flavors I've had flooding in. Some good. Some middling and some need to hang out and meditate with themselves a little longer I guess.

Onward Through the Fog...
