To make three mini vapestacks 2 510 1 kr808 . I figured if I was gonna make something why not 3 .What should I do?

the eGo is a special vaping machine. I would suggest you try one if you know someone that has one. It needs to be experienced IMO. Many do not find a difference with the cone, their is a definite difference using the cone. Some don't like it with the cone and that is cool too. IMO the vape is a tad harsher without the cone.

That being said, the eGo comes with a proprietary battery, a 650mAh battery that last anywhere from 6-8 hours. They are pricey to replace in comparison with a 16340 which I believe is in the vapestack (correct me if I am wrong). I often wear a suit and hence the eGo goes extremely well (class) with a suit. The vapestack is something I would use at home. The vapestack is a classy device in its own, especially the red one.

I think the eGo cone makes the 510 drag more like a real cigarette. You can drag on it harder and its not so "airy". Plus I think it looks nice. Very happy with mine, never tried a vapestack though, maybe if you sell some of the vapestacks you can buy some eGo's. I bought the 5 pack for 81.00 and then picked up a cone and the fast charger. Havent used my reg 510 batteries since. But when my Chuck and GLV gets here I may not use these, who knows. I guess it depends on what mods you already have.

I love em. To me this change in lifestyle to a non-smoker has made me also into a collector of PV's. I do want to try my hand at making a mod though as well. Good luck in what ever you choose.

johnnybass,
I've made some mods, laser pointer, from instructions generously supplied on this forum. They worked, batteries lasted somewhat longer than the 510 batteries I had been using and I was torn between going for another bigger battery mod and the ego like you are. Because of all the seemingly satisfied users of the ego, I ordered one from cignot (had heard many good things even recommended them to others with good reports but never purchased from them). I am supremely happy with the ego, cignot and best of all, all of my existing 510, 901, kr808, 510 cartomizers and adaptors to plug any of these things onto the ego batteries all work fine so my recommendation is go with an ego, it's as good as all the praises it's getting and maybe then some. I keep a battery on the charger while vaping the other and in three weeks, that's it, charge it, screw on anything and go as simple as it gets. I don't know but I suspect there's a whole lot more going on inside the ego than most battery mods and the result of whatever circuitry is in there manages the energy in the battery to smooth out the power and make it last the 4 to 8 hours depending on light to heavy vaping. It gives the same results from first puff to the last...excellent vapor production, throat hit (variable depending on liquid), and 510 or better flavor.
Without going to higher voltage and hv liquid, I don't think there is anything in the same ball park as the ego, my opinion of course.
If you like what a 510 does on the first couple puffs, and ego does the same thing longer, like for hours rather than minutes.
Hope that helps.

You can definitely tell the difference between a reular 510 and an ego/tornado. It gives a tad bit better throat hit with a thicker pg/vg liquid and even better w/o the cone. I like it because it looks really elegant when I take it to work. For everyday use and home, I'll be using my chuck as soon as I receive it. Go for the ego, you'll love it!!

eGo = YES!

At first I didn't notice a difference with the eGo cone. After using it exclusively for a couple days and then sitting here using my regular 510 passthough - I now notice a difference. The vape on an eGo with cone is a bit more robust.

I have two batteries at the moment but I think 3 would be just about right. I'm using about one and a half charge per day. The extra battery would let me charge two at night (so they are fully charged in the morning) and use the third during the charge time.

I might see if I can scrounge up a dead eGo battery from someone so I can made a passthrough out of it.

since you're looking for suggestions what about a mod that takes 18650 batteries?
the ego uses proprietary batteries that may cost more in the long run.
i went with a precise (pre order) because i like the look by super t manufacturing. initial cost is more on that model but i think there may be cheaper mods that take that battery.

seems that the difference between most mods is what battery they accomodate and the design. just a suggestion.

If you read the OP's post the question was to buy an eGo or build a mod. I also have a P18 coming. I also own an SD MKI, an eGo and a Chameleon. As I stated and many others, outside of the "proprietary" batt, the eGo is special, it has to be experienced.

The 18650 is a high drain battery, but not all 18650s are created the same. There is more happening with the eGo than is meeting the eye, and that cone is not just for good looks. The eGo/Tornado has to be experienced to be appreciated.

Speaking of price an AW 18650 2400 mAh battery is pretty darn close in price as an eGo proprietary batt. The performance is similar, just one will lat 3 times longer, but I can guarantee you the vape is no where near the same.

The reason I pre-ordered a P18, it's an all mechanical device with good battery life, nothing else.

I love love love my ego!!!

I recently tried a 5V mod, and now Im back on my ego!

I have come to develop a loving relationship with the 510 atty, and now that the LR atty is avl there are more options. I use my ego at times with a KR8 adapter with cartos when driving. Its just a great versatile device with awesome battery life.

My standard set up is my ego with a LR atty, cone on and a stainless T-tip. It looks super sharp, and uber classy when Im walking through the airport in full uniform with the rest of my crew.

Safe Travels,

The ego is just the first generation of mega-mega-batteries, and it is not without its minor faults. There are several updated versions coming out from various companies that attempt to fix some of these problems which you should also consider. The Riva is cheaper and has an improved button assembly. The T-rex has a much nicer metal button, and the Bauway 016 (aka Hello 016, aka F-16) has double the capacity in a body that is only slightly larger than the ego.

Soon enough the manufacturers will wise up and start making these devices perform at true 3.7V. Eventually, they'll add a mini-USB port and a charging circuit so that they can be quickly and easily charged and used as a passthrough. There's a lot of potential in these "in-between" PV batteries that are bigger than standard batteries but smaller than the usual big-battery mods. We've only seen the tip of the iceberg so far.

I just ordered my ego today. I haven't heard anything bad about it yet. From what I've seen it has consistent vapor production, good taste, and excellent battery life. I will say this though, Jantyworld.com put 50 of the black eGos on their site today at around 2, there are 39 left. That's over 1/5 of their stock sold in less than 4 hours. Obviously people like them.

Well i must say that so far , the riva i received from vaporjunction is unbelievable.I was going to get one through Drew at nhaler but at the time he was out , then i was searching through the supplier forum , and found this new site , they were doing a 20% off for ecf members and i got the riva shipped to my door for under 55 bucks, They also threw in a lr 510 atty and 2 3ml sample bottles of halo. I have only used a regular atty but so far this things cool .Seams like a 510 on steroids.
